SanDisk 1TB MicroSD For Steam Deck & Switch Drops To Best Price Yet At Amazon
Expand your handheld gaming library on Switch or Steam Deck with these cheap microSD cards.
If you're looking to expand your storage capacity on Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, or Asus ROG Ally, microSD cards are convenient and effective solutions. That said, high-capacity microSD cards, which are especially useful for PC handhelds, can be pricey. But right now Amazon is slashing prices on several great microSD cards. Most notably, you can get the 1TB SanDisk Ultra microSD card for only $70 (was $137). Amazon also has a limited-time deal on the faster Samsung Pro Plus 1TB microSD that drops the price to only $90 (was $120). Either of these cards--or any of the other deals listed below--should work without a hitch on your Switch, Steam Deck, or Windows-based handheld.
Side note: If you're in the market for a PC handheld, Best Buy has a terrific deal on the Asus ROG Ally Z1 Extreme; you can get the $650 Windows handheld PC with a free carrying case for only $450.
SanDisk Ultra 1TB microSDXC Card
$70 (was $137)
Rated for speeds up to 150MB/s, this card is an excellent, reliable companion for both Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch. This surpasses the speeds of officially licensed Nintendo microSDs, and it’s more than enough for gaming on Valve’s popular handheld PC. And with 1TB, you’ll have plenty of space to store all your favorites. This is the lowest price ever for the 1TB SanDisk Ultra microSD card at Amazon.
SanDisk Ultra 1.5TB microSDXC Card
$100 (was $150)
This is essentially the same card as above, though its storage capacity is bumped up to 1.5TB. That makes it a better choice for large libraries. This discount brings the card to one of the best prices we’ve seen, though it was about $10 cheaper during Black Friday and Prime Day.
Samsung Pro Plus 1TB microSD Card
$90 (was $120)
This matches the lowest price ever for the Samsung Pro Plus 1TB microSD Card, which just released last year. With a fantastic speed rating of 180MB/s, it’s more than suitable for both Steam Deck and Switch. It’s a bit more expensive than the SanDisk Ultra 1TB, but if you’re running it on a device that could benefit from the improved speed rating for transfers, such as a Windows-based handheld, it might be worth the extra $20.
If you’re not sold on the three cards above, there are a few other deals for you to peruse. These all offer 1TB storage but feature different speed ratings--so depending on your needs, you could save a few bucks by opting for a slower card. Here’s a look at our favorite discounts.
