Red Orb Entertainment has announced the release of the anticipated The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time on hybrid CD-ROMs, for both PC and Macintosh systems.

Legacy of Time was developed by Presto Studios, the creators of the previous two Journeyman Project titles, and features the SmoothMove panoramic technology to create an immersive environment.

"Legacy of Time is a leap forward for the adventure game genre," said Ken Goldstein, Broderbund's vice president of entertainment and general manager of its Red Orb Entertainment division, in a statement. "With its 360-degree spherical technology, challenging puzzles, amazing graphics, and compelling storyline, Legacy of Time will appeal to those new to the series as well as to its tremendous fan base."

"The game-design wizards here at Presto Studios have crafted an adventure that pushes the envelope of computer gaming," said Michel Kripalani, president and CEO of Presto Studios. "The game's cutting-edge technologies, as well as Legacy of Time's innovative character interactions, will immerse players in a fantastic world of mystery, exploration, and discovery."

The Journeyman Project 3: Buried in Time is on four CD-ROMs and sells for about US$50 in stores. A DVD-ROM version of Buried in Time will also be produced in the next few months.
