Some typos: the store launched on November 11, 2014 (should be 2013); Which games are picking up this weekend? (missing the word you).

Great deals in this and all the other Humble Bundle sales I've seen.

Too bad that Humble Store won't convert the game offer to a gift item on Steam accounts if a user already has the game. :/

<< LINK REMOVED >> What's worse is that if you were to put the key into Steam when you already own the game, the key gets used up, becomes invalid. I know there are a lot of things to take into consideration, like how in the past Humble bundles would always say for personal use only. Regardless of stuff like that, I always felt that burning the key in those situations is just wrong.

Eh... you are referring to those Humble Bundle packages which include games which you already own on Steam, aren't you?

If that's so, I know about that - and this is why I don't buy a package with Steam-shackled games if I already have them.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I'm talking about keys from lots of things, whether a single key that gives a single game or a single key that gives multiple games. The keys Humble Bundles used to give out, when they gave keys, maybe some other bundle sites too, and all promo/free keys like you get with video cards, etc.

I'm not sure about keys that have been purchased from resellers like GMG or Amazon. I would hope those keys don't get burned if you try them when you already have the game, that would really make someone angry. However, even if Steam doesn't burn the key, I think they still won't give you a gift copy.

Me too. It makes the free offer feel more like an attempt to get a larger player base instead of a more earnest and sincere freebie give-out.

It's half-hearted things like this which make people cynical of even freebie give-outs.

What makes you think that I don't know that?

You know, I wrote that sentence above just to avert remarks like yours. Perhaps you may want to read it again and realize that I was referring to what happens when a person redeems the offer.

Humble Store doesn't allow people who take up this offer to convert it into a trade-able gift item on Steam - that's what I meant, if you can understand this paraphrasing.

That won't change the notion that the offer would have been more awesome if it could have been converted into a trade-able gift item.

Just be aware this is the non-optimized version of the game. It eats up resources even more than its sequel.
