Try out el Uno or El Dos (same level, different difficulty)! Small but challenging!

Thank you for spotlighting my 'THE BEAST' rollercoaster. It is based on a real coaster at King Island Ohio that I linked a video to in the description. I made this for myself, when a freind saw it and insisted I upload it to Portal 2. Who knew so many would enjoy it. I am building a simulation of 'SON OF BEAST" rollercoaster now and will let you know when its uploaded. Thanks again!

That lone future one looks like it might have potential to be a really good series of maps, I'm impressed.

Really wish more level makers would do original story-based campaigns like 12 Angry Tests (which is still the only unofficial Portal 2 map I've found any interest in playing through more than once). The setting and pacing are two of the best aspects of Portal and its sequel, and few user-made maps thus far seem to really take advantage of that.

@ThePowerOfHAT

Well, the Portal custom map/mod making community is really just a splinter off the entire Source/Hammer community. For years, before the Portal 2 map maker was released, for either Portal, Left 4 Dead, or Half-Life, or Counter Strike, the modding community (we hesitate to distinguish mapping from modding) basically did all of this with the Hammer editor.

Want to make a portal map? Use hammer. Want to make a Half-life campaign? Use hammer. Left 4 dead, etc.

So, I think what you see is that because knowledge of how to use hammer was a prerequisite for modding any Valve game, one who knew how to use it would not choose to use it for Portal if they wanted to make a story-based campaign. If you know how to do animations, and have some voice actors, might as well put the experience with Valve's program to use in Half-Life modding.

Portal is seen by alot of modders as fun to map for, because you can focus so exclusively on just making a puzzle, and nothing else. So there's no need to coordinate with a team of specialists. Even Left 4 Dead campaigns can't really focus entirely on gameplay, and must have a consistent theme to the setting to get a high rating by the community.

I was about to tear my hair out of frustration after having to deal with the complexities of Left 4 Dead's AI director when making a custom campaign. Portal maps don't have those frustrations, because there is no enemy AI, no story, or anything extra expected apart from a fun puzzle :)

Doesn't showing the levels being completed kinda defeat the point of downloading them? It's not like a Skyrim mod where people want to engage in the combat themselves or try the new gear/weapon/quest.If you just showed me how to solve a puzzle why would I go and download it myself? What am I missing?

@gideonkain I've been wondering this too... When I watch this I'm careful only to see enough to know that the test looks cool or fun and not find out the answer. You're right, seeing the answer kinda defeats the purpose. They should just show us some basics of the puzzle.

I would like to recommend "Headache" by yellowcollarneb for the next feature.... I am curious to see if it really is the most difficult puzzle given the actual small size of the map..

The Beast is a wooden roller coaster in Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. And from what I can tell, this is a fairly accurate recreation of the actual roller coaster, including the double lift. Cam, Guy, and Jane, now you know.

@Hconduc Umm, ACTUALLY it's a wooden roller coaster in Kings Island in Ohio, genius. In fact, the creator posted a comment above confirming this. Furthermore, here is a wikipedia article about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beast_(roller_coaster) The one in Vaughn isn't the one they are talking about. Get your facts straight before you type.
