PlayStation Store Adds A Bunch Of New PS4 Games Today

Patapon gets a remaster on PlayStation 4, plus releases for Brawlhalla, Dino Frontier, and Dreadnought.

Sony is adding a bunch of new games to the PlayStation Store today, including a new remastered version of the 2008 PSP rhythm game Patapon. Patapon Remastered, now on PlayStation 4, will let players relive the classic gameplay (which GameSpot reviewer Justin Calvert called "an ingenious combination of light real-time strategy and rhythm" in his review). The remastered version features 4K support on the PS4 Pro to enrich the game's charming visuals. You can check out Sony's gameplay video from E3 2017 below.

2D platform-style fighting game Brawlhalla is still in closed beta on PS4, but as of today you can buy The Founder's Pack on the PlayStation Store for $20 and gain access. The pack gets you into the closed beta, access to every character currently available and in the future, an exclusive avatar, nameplate, and the Personal Sentry IV spawn bot. The game will have cross-play functionality with the PC version when it launches, and you can get more details here.

If you ever wanted to live among dinosaurs, Dino Frontier is out today for PSVR. The game puts you in charge of a Wild West-style frontier town, with a catch. There are dinosaurs, but don't worry, you can train them. PlayStation VR is required, but how else are you going to pick up tiny settlers and send them off to capture a Tyrannosaurus Rex?

Today is also the day Dreadnought's open beta launches on PS4. The tactical, team-based space combat game puts you in charge of hulking capital ships as they fight it out in big, epic battles.

Here are the other new releases out this week on the PlayStation Store:

Well that sucks. I've been working on a remake of the classic film Risky Business staring my cat Neko (yeah, my cats name is cat, in Japanese). So long Frisky Business--any ideas for a rename?

@7tizz: With a few exceptions, right now what they are releasing seems experimental. There is a ton of potential and oportunity on VR, but it needs more development.
Currently I would say that "when and where it works, works great"

@7tizz: I personally think it's neat, but early for it to really become big. I'm actually hoping Microsoft continues working on their HoloLens technology. AR could be amazingly immersive, and the unit already shows a ton of promise. 10 years from now, gaming is going to be ridiculous--in a good way.

@7tizz: I guess Crap Box doesn't have VR But PC and SONY Does. Future Gaming will be on VR only soon in the next few years.

@7tizz: How about stay the hell out of Sony Articles and go back to Crap box. I know Crap Box has NO games coming out, but you come in here and stir up trouble. Just because you bought the WRONG System and have NO Games to play on it. You rather come into a Sony Playstation Article and try to get a raise from us.

@7tizz: A million sold for a $400-$500 peripheral isn't bad. I'm waiting for a price drop still.

@7tizz: Still sold more than Oculus and HTC combined. The indie games for vr are there but there isn't much dedicated AAA support that would make people go out and buy one. Resident Evil 7 is probably one of the best VR experiences at the moment.
