PlayStation Plus Free Games For June 2022 Are Available Now

June's PS Plus lineup includes God of War.

The latest batch of free games for PlayStation Plus is available to claim now. June 2022's PS Plus lineup features one of the most acclaimed PS4 games of all time: 2018's God of War. In addition to stellar action-adventure game, subscribers can snag Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. All three games are available to add to your library until July 5. If you're looking to re-up your PS Plus membership to claim these titles, we have a great deal that bundles a 12-month subscription with a lifetime VPN license .

With the new PS Plus tiers launching this month, it's not too surprising that Sony is giving away one of its marquee games in God of War. It's one of the best PS4 games, and it received PS5 enhancements last year. If you're a subscriber gaming on a PS5, however, you already have access to God of War via the PS Plus Collection.

Fighting game fans have their hands full in June with two wildly different brawlers. Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker features large-scale 4v4 fights between Naruto characters with different ability sets. While you can play as popular characters from the anime, you can also create your own character.

Meanwhile, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a Smash Bros.-esque brawler featuring an eclectic assortment of cartoon characters. Nowhere else can Reptar from Rugrats, CatDog, Garfield, and SpongeBob SquarePants duke it out in over-the-top combat scenarios. Both the PS5 and PS4 versions of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl are free for subscribers.

PlayStation Plus free games June 2022

Available until July 5

  • God of War
  • Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
  • Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker

GOW 2018 is a good game but it’s definitely not one of the greatest games of all time like this guy makes it sound. Sekiro is a better hack n slash. Sekiros gameplay is so tight and awesome. I don’t think there’s a better hack n slash ever. Elden Ring is fantastic. The world design is 2nd to none but I still think Sekiros gameplay is better. Both From Soft games are better than GOW.

With Elden Ring I haven’t relied on it’s counter mechanic in the combat much at all. If I’ve struggled with a boss I would either play it super safe when trying again or grind to get more powerful before another attempt. So I suppose I should reserve my judgment somewhat when deciding which has the better gameplay until I master or get a good grasp of that way of playing. Right now though I’d say Sekiro is the best.

Nice. I actually never played GOW yet. Actually never got into them back in the day on ps2/3 days since I was an X360 user. And lately the past few years when I get into a gaming mode and start up a jam session all I've been playing is everything in the fromsoft collection. I'll give this a run eventually and maybe pick up ragnorok if I like it enough. Still waiting on coming up with a PS5 at retail to play elden ring. As of late most of my all day gaming energy is spent in the winter months. thanks for the reminder that I need to put fifa 22 in my library lol.

@Btwistin: You might like GOW if you are into the Fromsoft games. Combatwise, it's kind of Fromsoft-lite. Not as difficult, but you do want to take a similar approach of being a little cautious and learning enemy attacks.

Played about half of it but bounced off to finish Sekiro and decided I’d finish GOW on ps5 at 60FPS. But now I think I might finish it on pc as that’s the best version apparently.

@thecupidstunts: Then buy a PS5 and get it for free anyway? Stop giving us games we already have. And stop rewarding those that didn't buy games they should have bought.

@Mozelleple112: "stop rewarding those that didn't buy games they should have bought."

Who is to say what someone should or shouldn't have already bought? There are plenty of legit reasons why someone may not have bought/played GoW by now.

@CyberEarth: Where did I write give me AAA games? Absolutely every has played GOW, and if you haven't then shame on you. I played it day 1 as it should have been. For PS+ don't give us TLOU2, GOW, RDR2, GoT and all the masterpieces we already bought day 1. Give us fun, unique, indie, co-op games that we had no plan on buying and don't already own.

How can a game become a free PS+ game if it's already freely available to all subscribers? This makes zero sense. Looks like Sony is just fucking over everyone who still pays for its shitty subscription service. Because why not? Folks will keep paying for it anyway, no matter what they do. But the other kids games are also a great addition. Maybe next month there's a Barbie game in it, too.

@pcps4xb: Oh yeah, of course. So now the few folks that don't own a PS4 and still haven't bought this game for $10 on a sale years ago, but would still like to play it, get to do so as well. How nice of Sony. Just as nice as making Dirt 5 available on PS+, which not many people care about and which was already available for $4 per month on EA's service and on PS Now as well.

@Atzenkiller: well the game sold 20m and there's around 50m subscribers so the potential would be pretty high imo. But I'm with you....for a gamer like me with a ps5, it's kind of a loss... We get less games with this offering. Dirt 5 offering was great for me. There aren't many ps now subs but alot of plus subscribers that would take advantage of it.

@pcps4xb: If you truly cared about Dirt 5 you could have played it for $4 per month through EA's service as I already mentioned. If you only subscribed to PS+ or PS Now for that game, then you'd have wasted money. Well, a handful of bucks. But either way, making a game available for "free" when it's already available for pennies elsewhere is a joke.

@Atzenkiller: I didn't care about it, I don't really care about racing games that much and usually look to them last. I didn't get ps Plus for it, I had it like I always do when I find my $30-$35 deals for the whole yr. I don't usually sub to anything but PS plus and once in a while gamepass. It's not a jk because there's many plus subscribers, me being one of them who don't have ea access and the game was $60 at the time. It was a good offering

@pcps4xb: Well, to folks like you literally anything is a good offering. Sounds like a lot of the stuff you use has been given to you by others for free. But if you were a bit more selective and actually cared about what you subjected yourself to, then you'd also see that many of these "free" offers are just rip offs. But enjoy your free games.

@Atzenkiller: did I say anything is a good offering? Just because I mentioned one game doesn't mean all are. And most games I play, I've purchased at full price. I never usually purchase racing games which is why I didn't care for it until I tried it for free. Don't go generalizing about people with little knowledge, you just look a fool doing it since you're way off the truth.

I would be surprised if a PS owner would not already have GOW. But if you don't like the genre, it's a master class in it.

Really really strange for Sony to have such a poor month before the new packages kick in. As others have said, GOW has been free on PS5 for a while now and any self discerning PS4 owner will have played it already. I'm just hoping this isn't an indication of lack of investment in the base package going forward.

@tsunami2311: Havent touched Fifa since about Fifa 14. Got 22 since it was free last month and I see nothing different in mechanics. It actually feels like a setback and thats just crazy since I havent touched a Fifa game in 7 years.

You're much better off trying out GoW now that its free.

Some of you gamers whine all the time. Lmao gamepass is overrated and ps plus hasn’t been consistently good in a long time. But I can’t blame them. These sub service models are trash to begin with.

@thehawk3986: I like game pass quite a bit. Ive been playing sniper elite 5, loving it. If I had to pay $60 bucks for it not so much. But if I can get three full priced games ($180) worth of content a year out of GP its paid for itself.

Now I know the response. "You dont own those games" yea. I know. And I dont care. Im never going to play sniper elite 5 again in my life after im done with it. And I feel that way about A LOT of games. I just dont care anymore. There are other things I'll spend money on.

@pcps4xb: Don't get me wrong, you are 100% correct that there are mediocre games on GamePass. But there are a lot of very good ones too.

A recent example for me would be The Medium, which I definitely didn't want to pay full asking price for. But I played it on GamePass, beat it fairly quickly, and enjoyed it. A Plague Tale was another for me. Played it on GamePass and it was surprisingly awesome, but I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

@chaosemerald: I think there is value for a lot of super casual gamers out there. I have had Game Pass since day one and barely ever get anything out of it because most of the games that release on Game Pass I buy day 1. Sniper Elite 5 I didn't buy right away and was unsure so GP came in handy because I tried it out for like an hour and then went and purchased it from steam. I rather support dev teams that are doing good work... GP much like the Netflix model is cute but I don't think it is healthy in the long term or sustainable.

I think gamers have gotten super cheap and unrealistic.. we seem to want something for nothing and it doesn't make any sense. I get that the cost of food, gas, and other essentials have been inflated immensely depending on where you live... but we can't expect to short change the gaming industry and still get high quality releases. Having a sub service to carry you in between major launches that you know you want to buy through out the year is fine.... but that's not what people want... They want every single major release to be on a sub service day one. Not realizing that that type of model will probably water down the games that get released going forward.

I am willing to pay for quality releases, and I wish more gamers felt the same way.

@thehawk3986: The same can kinda be said for the game publishers and devs... Hyping a game so much then putting out a half finished product, just to get your money upfront for a game that resembles nothing of what they hyped, then MAYBE finish the game properly if resources dictate... Anthem

It's also not wanting something for nothing. Gamers pay for these services and part of what they're paying for is monthly games.

Sony used to put out newer, AAA type games month after month on the PS3. That has long since stopped. It was doable then, but not now? They don't even have a Game Pass service to protect. So why the drop in quality?

@Vodoo: Paying $14.99 is nothing in reality.. Don't believe the hype. For a small dev team GamePass can be an incredible resource because they get more exposure by placing their game on the service. But GamePass does very little for more established devs and pubs. Paying for a sub service pays those teams pennies compared to what they could make on a per unit sale at an MSRP of $60.

What game do you want PS plus to drop? Sony will never do a game pass model because honestly it doesn't benefit the established devs in the long run or Sony as a whole. Boasting about subscriber base is meaningless... the only reason why MS is doing this is because they have tons and tons of money to burn.. they are hoping that all those subs continue to buy in and maybe they stick around long enough to buy more products.. but if we look at Netflix models... over time people start cutting those services when the content isn't interesting to them.

We all know that some devs and pubs have dropped the ball in terms releasing quality products. but with that being said we as the consumers have a choice to support whatever products we want. I only buy games day 1 that I know is going to be worth my time, or I wait for a handful of reviews from trusted sources.. I almost never pre order games anymore because there really isn't a need to. But I honestly believe that we as gamers benefit more from buying games at full price in the long run vs this silly sub service model. but thats just my opinion. Time will tell us in the long run whats what

@chaosemerald: Good Point but there s problem in this POV.

I 100% DO want to play my games again. Esp a game that will most likely have DLC thats going to come out after my time with it.

So for ME i want to own my games & renting them is not an alternative.

But i do pay yearly to both PSN&Xbox cause of the games i normally wouldn't buy...

**When physical games are gone it's gonna be the end of fun hobbies like going to the Retro store and buying games from 15 years ago. But that's not the point i just like pointing it out since i started playing all the OGxbox & PS2 titles i missed back then

& it's been a blast to put em on a shelf in ManCave..

~Sony has been slimy af for a long time now in almost every way relating to the customer.. They want the same thing that Xbox has with GamePass but want it without giving to the customer..

Needing PS+ for MP is crap..

I buy these by the year & you should to...

Get the yearly on black friday if ya can...

********I have a yearly sub to PS+ that ends in december.

I dunno what i need to do now that PS+ has changed...

***The Biggest problem i have with both services is i don't own the games that we're 'free' that month if my subscription expires...

How did we get into this poisition of being fuper by these console companies like this???

@sippio: There are other uses GP has I use GP to demo the game and if I like it Ibuy it maybe not from GP which do give 20% discount. Like the other poster said why pay $60 for a game and it turns out it is not the game not as good. If you brought the game digitally you may be SOL. If you got it from Gamestop you may initially get your money back with some exceptions of course but I think that is like 7 days and after that you do not get full refund and Gamestop acts like a merchant out of a RPG meaning you get less than what you paid. it is how one uses GP. The other poster pointed out to you he may never play the again and you may want own the game but those are two different opinions If want to own your games then that your choice, but if one does not want to keep it than that their choice.

For me GP saves me money when it lands on GP and I can filter out the duds and buy something I like. Yeah I pay a sub price but I do not mind as Sony falls into the same boat in some ways but I prefer GP because it serves both sides Computer and Console which Sony does only does console and I only pay one price.

@shakana44: This is why it's a deuche move by Sony.

They know EVERYONE who owns a PS4 that wants to play GOW has already owned or played it..

OrcsMustDie3 or a EDF game woulda been nice.

~Why arent they still giving us old PS1,,PS2,PS3 games?

Sony needs to know that many gamers want this..

I'd want this over a game i already own.

@sippio: Unfortunately, if you want to play backwards compatibility on PlayStation you're going to have to pay for it either by purchasing individually or paying for the top tier of PS Plus. Sony won't be giving out any games for anything other than PS4/5 with the standard tier of Plus.

Let's hope that they at least expand their library of PS1/2/3/PSP/Vita for the Premium subscribers because if they don't then not many are going to subscribe and even those who do, won't be willing to do so for very long.
