Playlogic relaunches
Bankrupt Amsterdam-based publisher of Infernal: Hell's Vengeance and Fairytale Fights reaches agreement to restart with downloadable focus, looking to buy its way into mobile market.

It's "game on" for Playlogic. After entering bankruptcy protection earlier this year, the publisher behind Infernal: Hell's Vengeance and Fairytale Fights is readying for a comeback.
The company's liquidators today announced that they have reached an agreement with creditors to restart the publisher as the newly formed Playlogic Entertainment N.V. The publisher will rehire some of its former staffers beginning January 1, but the publisher's US arm was not involved in the agreement and won't be part of the relaunch.

As part of its new life, Playlogic will be taking a new approach to publishing. The company will be putting its primary focus on publishing downloadable titles for Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo hardware, but it's also stepping up in the mobile space. Playlogic said it is "in final negotiations" to acquire a company in the "games of chance" market for mobile devices.
The reborn Playlogic's first titles are set to be announced "soon."
