EA has announced a new update for Plants vs. Zombies 2, titled Jurassic Marsh Part One. The Fall update brings with it three new dinosaurs. New prehistoric-themed plants and zombies will also be introduced as part of the update, which is available to download via the Apple App Store and/or Google Play from today onwards.

New plants include those with some primal abilities, such as the Primal Peashooter that can instantly stun, the Primal Wall-nut that offers protection, and the Grapeshot Premium Plant that explodes and scatters projectiles that bounce to damage zombies. The three dinosaurs being introduced with the update include the Raptor, a dinosaur which has the ability to kick a zombie forward down the lane, a Stegosaurus with the ability to catapult zombies into adjacent lanes, and the Pterodactyl.

In addition, a 12-day Mega World Wide Event called Food Fight will kick off on November 18. The event will feature autumn-themed plant and zombie costumes. Players will also be able to use two Special Edition Premium Plants, including the returning Sweet Potato and Dandelion plants.

The Jurassic Marsh Part One update will have 16 levels and include autumn-themed zombies such as the Turkey Zombie, Gobbler King Zombie, and Chefster Zombie.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 launched on the Apple App store and Google Play store in 2013, going on to exceed over 25 million downloads on iOS devices alone. EA has confirmed that a new Plants vs Zombies game will be coming in 2016.

I would love to play P vs Z 2 but my smart phone sucks and I hate that they went with the free to play model. I wish EA would just release a full version for a set price for either the PC or the consoles. At least Garden Warfare 2 is not that far away.

Unless they put it on the PC, I don't care what they add to the game. I'd love to play it, but I have no smartphone or plans to get one, and quite frankly, screw phone games anyway.

@imamelia: nothing wrong with phone games as long as they are good. a phone is just a fancyer 3ds or vita. has alot of crap games and alot of good games.

you can play it on pc though with bluestacks. i used it to play a few phone games. i learned about plague inc and wanted to play it on pc but at the time it was a phone game only and there was no word on it coming to pc that i was aware of and i found blue stacks to play apps.

worked ok for me. u could install it and that should let you play it on pc

Oh wow first time seeing GS psot anything about PvZ2 since it came out. This is a free2Play game I really enjoy was a little indifferent at first because it didn't have has much as the original, but over time the game has continued to add more worlds plants and has proved to be a great game. I do miss the mode where you could send zombies against plants
