Ouya launching with Final Fantasy III

If it's like OnLive where all the games are streaming from a server, then I'll pass. I see the controller, but I have yet to see what the console looks like. If the console only has 8 GB of space, is there a way to upgrade the memory? How big will the games be. Will they all be 32bit retro games like FF III? They really haven't told us enough.

I'm glad. Final Fantasy III is one of the most underrated Final Fantasy games right after V. Everybody is too quick to give VII all of their praise and adoration these days. In my opinion, the series was best on the NES and SNES.

Why has square never gotten around to re-releasing ff6 yet?

Hopefully, this will not be a port of the DS version. An "optimized" version of the original graphics would be best.

I feel tempted to back with the $99... but shouldn't I simply be able to buy one once it's released for the same price...? Or is there some advantage to backing?

A Demo version of Final Fantasy 3. I guess that is Ouya "pack in" game. This could be a sleeper cult console. Hopefully it goes well.

Why do they keep mentioning that it can be plugged into an ordinary TV like that's some sort of special feature? That's how pretty much every home console I've ever owned has worked.

Oh Christ... The comments about the name have begun. If it has games you like, if it plays them well, if it has a good price, what does it matter if the name is a little bit strange? Open your tiny little closed minds for once in your lives and get over it.

I feel like they are trying to pull a fast one. This isn't the FFVI with espers that most people love.

So that makes two to three things to look for in Ouya.

What does the Ouya do that any PC made in the last 10 years won't?

Looking good, the problem to me was that they choose the wrong FFIII, I want a remake of FFVI, not a port of FFIII. Well at least Square is supporting the thing so that's a good thing, hope it doesn't fail like the Wonder Swan Color though. Having only Final Fantasy on there especially a port won't do it no justice unless it sells a bundle for Square.

I wish there's Kingdom Hearts for OUYA, even if it's a remake of BBS, 358/2, Coded, 3D, or even the first two, I don't mind.

Still the only important FF game that never had its original version released anywhere outside of Japan.

If Ouya has great exclusive games that generate a lot of buzz, the $99 console will sell millions in no time. Console gaming has become too expensive and dull due to uninteresting games. Ouya could change all of that. Game development needs to be brought back down to a smaller scale like what we had in the 80's and 90's. If that environment can exist again, there will be innovative and exciting new games popping out left and right.

you guys should hold off on the criticism till its release for a good while keep an open mind. i know sometimes i forget to do that
