Sega of America has announced the release of Ooga Booga for the Dreamcast console. In this online action game, players assume the role of the leader of a tribe and must compete in a variety of events in order to gain the largest amount of island magic, or mojo. Up to four players can compete at once in the game, either on- or offline. Naturally, the offline mode is played in a split-screen perspective.

"Ooga Booga is a completely new online gaming experience," said Greg Thomas, president of Visual Concepts, a Sega group company. "It builds on the online technology we created for our 2K1 series of sports games and takes it to the next level with virtually lag-free play. Ooga Booga combines fast, seamless online action with a fun, original theme suitable for the whole family. This is one of the first online console games ever to achieve this."

Ooga Booga carries a suggested retail price of $29.95.
