Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Restocks: Where To Buy The Popular GPU

The popular GPU is still running into inventory issues, but it's never been easier to find one in stock.

Finding the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is much easier than it was last year, but there are still a few lingering inventory issues at retailers across the country. When you do manage to find one in stock, it tends to carry an inflated price tag--so unless you need one of the best GPUs on the market immediately, you might be better served by holding off on your purchase. The standard RTX 3080 should be listed at $700, but you'd be hard-pressed to find anything less than $1000 on today's market.

If you're still interested in snagging an RTX 3080, we've pulled together every retailer currently offering the powerful GPU. These units tend to move fast, so be sure to check out the inventory while it lasts. Restocks are becoming more frequent than ever before, and there's a good chance you'll be able to find an in-stock unit if you keep your eyes peeled.

Keep in mind that many of these retailers will require you to create an account before making a purchase (as a way to combat scalpers), and it might be worth your while to sign up now so you don't have to scramble around when inventory inevitably comes back in stock.

For those prices, I might as well just wait for the 4000 series. They're not that far off anymore.

The 3080ti is NOT worth it over the 3080, for so much more money, you get 5-10% better FPS for 20% more powered usage ! Why pay several hundred dollars more to play a game at 64-67 FPS instead of 61 FPS ? But of course, some will claim their eyes will note significant difference in FPS settings at high levels, lol. I wish I was born with genetically engineered eyes.

@phili878: Agree.

There is a chart.. showing FPS per $$$ spent. With a RX 6700XT at around 500-600$ coming in just 10%-15% under a 3080. With many games, at 2k 120-144 mhz the differences were 10 frames here and there. Same with 4k. At 1080p you could have games in the 240 FPS range, but what is the differences between 240 and 220.

Now I am all for spending money for a hobby a person enjoys. You want an expensive hobby... try cigarettes, collecting old cars, an affair, or worse ... kids. But wasting money, when you can use it elsewhere or investing it in other areas is just as important. I also love those gamers on twitter with a 3080 and a cheap $130 monitor.

Right now it looks like the best bang for the buck in the enthusiast builds is the RX 6950XT with a MSRP of $1099, though using a bit large amount of power. See here LTT YT

But what is eye opening is this chart here, YT hardware unboxed, price per frame

FYI I am running a 2018 build at work with a 5700x and a 2019 build at home with a founders 3080 at MSRP, added at launch. Barely bottlenecked by CPU Ryzen 3600. I am sitting on 400 hrs of Overtime pay, but just have not seen a reason to upgrade given the poorly ported AAA PC games that have come out these last few years. I find my PS5 runs FF7R better then my PC, 'shrugs shoulders'.

Microcenter that's where. All the other places are worthless if you're in the US.

@deth420: that's a waste too, might as well wait for the 5000 series, but when those are out, that's another waste, why not wait for the 6000 series? Most games (99%) are overperformed by the 3080 alone, so why spend even more, for a complete overkill gaming experience with way higher energy consumption?

@phili878: I mean if you want to wait that long. I usually skip every other gen. by the time the next round of games comes out the 3000 series will be struggling. I Know this because it happens every cycle.

My 2080ti was killing it. then new game tech came out, and it can really only do 1440p at 60fps.

same thing will happen here. and if the price points are going to be close or the same, might as well wait for the 4000 series.

and on top of that if the 4000 series is gonna be that great, then maybe you wouldnt need to by a higher end model. could prolly save on getting 4070. right because the 3070 they say performs as good as the 2080ti. so maybe the 4060 will perform as well or better then 3080.

@deth420: that's not entirely true. The 1080strix (not ti) still working great at medium to max settings in games like RE2, RE Village, other "newer" games. Sure, they won't perform well in Minecraft RTX, but it still holds the line nicely.
