Next Resident Evil Movie Is Really the Last One, Actress Says

This movie is already going to be really bad.

Thank god Anderson's live action fan fiction series centered around his wife is over at long last! Hopefully the obligatory reboot is handled by better writers and director...

These movies are so cheesy.

These movies were just terrible, nothing like the video game adaptations, no one was looking for puzzles, Different keys, first aid kits or even green and red herbs!

The first movie was actually decent, but the rest were just cheesy action/horror.

Video game movies don't make much sense anymore. Almost all games are cinematic, the first one was decent but could have been better if the team survived longer. The 2nd one was okay but the game character cameos made it super cheesy. I liked the nemesis taking out the stars team and mike epps. These quickly went downhill, ive watched them all only once. Generally good zombie movies involve a list of characters you care about and dont want to see die and a list of people you cant wait to die. I really didn't care about anyone in these movies. I did feel bad for the reporter that got ate by the zombie kids in 2.

RE1: 7/10

RE2: 6/10

RE anything after: 3/10

These films are my guilty pleasure. I did a five film marathon a few months back and had a lot of fun.

I'm sure they'll be a reboot in 5 years or so. I'm not a fan of these movies but they've probably made a ton of money if they made it this far.

I think it was very generous of Paul to keep making these movies to keep his wife in work inbetween her other projects.

They should have stopped after the first movie but yeah, happy to see it's finally ending.

Hasn't it been known for a while that this would be the last one? All this did is make me think that most of the main characters probably die by the end of it.

At any rate, these movies are not good, but I enjoy them all. They know they aren't intelligent, they know exactly what they are and don't pretend to be anything else. It doesn't take itself more seriously than it is, and it also respects its audience by not doing so. I respect it for that, and enjoy them like I might enjoy a ride at an amusement park.

I find it hilarious how folks are going "thank god! Maybe someone else will take over and reboot it properly!" You REALLY want that? Especially with how Capcom dragged the game's story into the mud with parts 5 and 6?

The movies are no more absurd than the games themselves. Yeah, they're BAD, but I can at least put them on a guilty pleasure list with ease. The first four main games (well... plus Code Veronica) were pretty awesome, but to stand there and tell me that the overall story is much better than the movies? Take a good long hard look at both.

I have a better idea. Let the movie series finish, and flat-out call it done. No reboot. Nothing. Capcom needs to do the same thing with the games, because everything that the series stood for has been absent for years.

I really hope this is truly the last one and nails put in its coffin until the rights can be given to someone with the desire to treat the property with some care.

About six months ago, I watched all 5 movies back to back. Not great movies, but not totally terrible either. I give them props for beginning each sequel right where the last one left off. Makes for a nice marathon if you watch them back to back.

I'll probably see the last one, though likely not for theater prices.

I gotta say, I really enjoyed the first film, a lot, quite enjoyed 2, 3 and 4 but I just think it's gone way too far with the main focus being on Alice which is a bit shit. All the interesting characters from the game are just stuffed in just for the sake of it, they could have had so much ore depth and it would have made the films so much better in my opinion. The last one was rotten for what I just mentioned with depth etc, and it was so much emphasis on the crap games and not on the first 3 awesome games.

Maybe it'll be rebooted after the next one, with all the reboots happening, I don't see why not, this kind of needs one. I'd love if the reboot is as good or even better than the Silent Hill film.

RE are awfull. I saw the last one a couple of weeks ago and it's horrendous.
