why wont the beta run. i get to the loading screen but then the gamefreezes and then i have to close it with task manager. PLZ HELP!

if anyone else is having a problem with the closed beta that opened oct 1 for premium members, try switching your region to the UK and sign out and go to the game browser if its there sign in and download, if not than message or comment me ive been on the phone with xbox and there putting the word out

Also what's with all the morons complaining about all the bugs....? It's a beta, FFS. It's created to find and nuke these bugs before final versions are shipped out. I remember playing the BF3 beta and it was buggy as hell for the first few days, then updates smoothed it out, and the retail version eliminated almost all the bugs I saw in the beta. Come on, kids. Have a little patience.

So excited for this. I'm not buying the game til next gen consoles come out becaue I'm switching brands. So by the time mid november rolls around they'll have major bugs sorted out and the next gen hardware will run these games the way theyre meant to be.

Battlefield 3 is an amazingly optimized game. But I've always had crashing issues with it on two separate computers (one with a 560m, and one with a 680). I seem to be experiencing the same crash, around 10 minutes in to gameplay, as I almost always did with Battlefield 3. Wonderful. I know it's a beta. I just hope this time around, BF4 will be more stable.

I absolutely love it <3 its like a much better version of BF3, more guns, more desctruction, better controls ! Just play it for yourself and decide guys :D

3 days of exclusive beta. What a joke lol.

i've downloaded the beta on my ps3 and to be honest it's not great, lots of pop ups.. nothing like what trailers show you, frame rate not really that nice also, get moments when you see picture correction, don't know what it's called proper but when you see an image and it takes a second to become proper image, but i guess it's just a beta..

Just got a 7970 to prepare for this bad boy.

I need to say, before anything, that I'm a huge fan of BF, so, here it goes my complaint:

I love BF, there's nothing similar on consoles, but when I first played the BF3 beta and realised that the final version was exactly the same without any fixes, I mean, exploding with bugs and unbalanced gameplay, I got really frustrated ! I don't want to play the beta again and see that when I buy the retail version it will have no changes from the beta version ! It was clear that DICE in the past focused more on the competition against Call of Duty ( which imo there's none ), than focusing on delivering what they promised.
I hope that DICE learned they don't need to compete against COD anymore because BF can sell itself and they are really different games for different type of gamers ! They need to focus on delivering something "finished" and "functional" and forget this whole marketing and milking !

People on another topic was discussing that this beta in question is a "late" release because developers won't have time to fix major problems, "possibly" found with the data gathered from the feedback given by the beta ( which is the function of a BETA version ), Sooo, this "beta" is more of a DEMO because if people could think about the logistics, which means that DICE and EA have to distribute ALL the discs worldwide until the release date, and most of the retailers must have their lot in place at least one week anticipated.... With that, if you're playing a broken beta today, you can be sure that DICE already produced their final version to all game discs and THERE WILL BE an update to fix the shit !

Point is: Why calling it a beta ? Why keep releasing broken games ? Why people still support these procedures?

Think about it, if you don't have internet, or worse, if you have a Xbox 360 4gb model, you won't be able to enjoy the game because IT'S BROKEN, needs an update, and it requires a HDD....Shouldn't you receive a discount for that ? You will pay full price, and DICE will give you a broken product.... which they will fix later !!!!

I will never buy a product that needs repairs already, why games should become like that?! Don't you people see that ? This is becoming "PROCEDURE", this should be at most, "this time we had to do that", not standard procedure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is running like garbage on pc (SLI 770's here)

the new hud and menus are horrid. deploy screen, etc.

the new orange-colored death cam is the ugliest thing i think i've seen in an FPS game.

the hud scale is terrible. everything is huge.

the "small" minimap remains useless... they removed the big minimap... (**** YOU). the new big map could give me all that info in about 1/6th of my screen instead of full screen.

They can hit pretty hard with their beaks. Just remember to maintain eye contact (like mentioned above). That is probably the most important rule when facing down a goose (or any number of them, they like to fight in packs.) Also another important strategy is to spread your lats out, this will intimidate them. If the challenge is accepted the goose will spread its wings out as a sign to commence battle. The best way to start off the fight is to run straight at it and flap your arms while still spreading your lats (hard to do, but easily accomplished with a few weeks training.) The goose will either be scared off at this point, or ready to take you on. If the latter is true, prepare for a long fight because once a goose decided to attack, he's in it to win it.

Is it just me or the game staggers like hell?
