Metro 2033 ticketed for March 16

lets hope they have figured out how to make a game as, stalker clear sky was a nightmare of a bugged game, won't be playing this, I recommend the same don't waste your money on them until they figure out how to make a game that can actually run without stopping 3,000 times in the first 3 zones.

@mach-stem because the developers are supposedly ex-Stalker devs using a modified x-ray engine. And both games seem to have a similar atmosphere. The campfires in the initial trailer look like they were lifted right out of Stalker.

I really don't get how this relates to STALKER in any way. I loved STALKER (until I ran into 5-6 game breaking bugs) but STALKER is loosely based on Roadside Picnic, where-as this is based on Metro 2033, a more recent book. Any ideas why it would be mentioned under the updates page for STALKER?

looks interesting am loving it and getting it pending the reviews ofcouse but chose a hell of a day to come out, MS better increase its marketing budget for the game but all in all i think x360 owners wont be to jealous of ps3,

@Re-Skull, They've already said that Metro 2033 will be a story driven experience, i dont neccessarily see that as a bad thing, so long as it is well designed. HalfLife, Bioshock, hell even MGS are relatively linear games as they are story driven, but they also prove that if a dev puts their heart and soul into a game the result can be fantastic.

after a little google this Open world i told, i must say... not it is not.... !!!! :-[

i have fall in s.t.a.l.k.e.r and i think it will be a cool thing ! and if it be a open world game as s.t.a.l.k.e.r is, gonna be a greater than what i thought before !

This game is putting off a good vibe. Ive read the book. and i really loved it. So im excited to see how this game does

Comes out the same day as GOW III. I may get both on the 16th, or wait and buy this game later. GOW III is a day 1 buy for me no question, METRO 2033 isn't, but I may get it day 1 depending on how much extra $$$ I have on hand.

@Marky360 Do you even realize what systems the games you're talking about are coming out on? Think about it. They're not in competition with each other at all.

I will buy this game, unless something happens to change my mind about it. So far, so good.

This game picked the worst date to release day and date with the release of God of War 3 this games gonna get no attention its too bad to looked like a good game I would check it out but my time WILL be consumed with GOD OF WAR III the game of the year

stalker call of prypiat releases next week. it's supposed to be the best one of the whole series. i bet that is going to be the underdog release since no one is talking about it.

I hope we get a good 360 version, because Divinity 2 and Risen where horrible ports, fingers crossed the dev's aren't lazy with this

This game looks really cool, coming out in a huge March its goin to have to be.

Getting it on day one, my hopes are for a GOTY class game. BTW, does anyone know if this will be released as CE aswell ? I'd really like to know.

I think it will be like a more polished and accessible [in a good way] type of STALKER game - mainly in premise and concept, though I'm sure the simillarities will end there. Definitely picking this one up.

From the videos I've seen of it, it looks promising. I'll check the reviews, but more than likely purchase this one.

Looks great. If all turns out well, I'll definitely pick it up. (and for the mention of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, didn't GSC change publishers after Shadow of Chernobyl? I'm not sure though)
