Life is Strange Limited Edition Disc Set for PS4, Xbox One, and PC Release

The Limited Edition will bundle all five episodes with a 32-page artbook, complete with unreleased concept art, a soundtrack, plus the original score by Jonathan Morali, and director's commentary.

Publisher Square Enix has said the box set will release in January on PS4 and Xbox One, priced at $40 and £30. The PC version will ship at $10 and £10 cheaper.

Luc Baghadoust, a producer for Life is Strange, said the response to the game has "blown us away."

He continued: "To be able to share that experience with our fans in a traditional boxed format is something we’re really excited about and the decision to include the extra items for the Limited Edition is a direct response to fan requests.”

Along with trying to stop the destruction of her home, Life Is Strange protagonist Max Caulfield also investigates the disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber.

GameSpot's Life Is Strange reviews were largely positive, describing an adventure game that conjures the nostalgia of high-school life, punctuated by moments of epic drama.

Total rip off considering it's basically a movie where you make choices. There is no gameplay and no skill required. The only part I actually enjoyed is being a bitch to Kate and watching her "take the plunge". I rewound it a hand full of times just to laugh at her.

@pluwo4: she jumps off while you are still on the ground then you have to rewind. If you stop before she is all the way back up, you can watch her fall and die over and over again.

That's a decent game. I quite enjoyed it, and I particularly liked the ending... Won't give it away but it basically said that the journey is more important than the destination.

@ECH71: That's because the Mass Effect fanbase are idiots who want Shepard to bang Liara in the end and ignore what the narrative is telling them.

It seems something similiar is happening to Life is Strange as well.

@ECH71: I was taken aback by the ending at first. But then I stopped to think what it was trying to say and, to be honest, that ending kinda feels appropriate for the themes the game explores.

@wookietim: You are one of the few people I've seen that liked the ending, which is great!

Personally I found one ending too short, didn't like the reused song and I don't think it gave enough closure, also Chloe's reaction made no sense after the scene before you made that binary choice. If everyone died, which we don't see, I would be pretty surprised.

The other ending was much longer, but really predictable, it also wiped out all your choices, which makes sense for the game like you said, but as a gamer that spend 15 hours in their world it felt like a dick move.

Hopefuly Dontnod learns from season 1 and makes an even better season 2, I really hope it gets one, loved season 1 overall.

Kate Marsh actually survives, her parents pick her from the hospital before the storm hit.

Frank, Joyce, Warren, and David get blown up in the diner because you weren't there to stop the fire from spreading.

This is what I've been waiting for. Really wanted to play this game but I'm not a fan of games I can't put on the shelf. I hope more great digital only games eventually go this route, I'd happily pay an extra $10 for the retail copy.

Sold. The game is freaking fantastic. One of the best (and depressing) story games ever. Really looking forward to that artbook and get more lore out of the game.
