After a few years of PlayStation console exclusivity, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is finally headed to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on August 15. Preorders are now live for the Premium Edition, which comes with several pieces of extra content. At Amazon, the game is available to preorder for $40.

In case you missed it when it first came out, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an adventure game inspired by The Legend of Zelda as well as Souls-like games. Despite its Pixar-esque graphics and adorable little creatures known as the Rot, Kena has challenging combat with a precision parrying system. Throughout the colorful odyssey across lands corrupted by a malignant force, players have to drive back the forces corrupting the majestic world, save restless spirits, and harness the adorable power of the Rot to work through puzzles. It tells a touching story about overcoming tragedy and is simply an all-around great game.

"Kena: Bridge of Spirits uses a different perspective on familiar gameplay ideas to create tons of exciting combat and a deep emotional connection with its world," Phil Hornshaw wrote in the review for the game, scoring it 9/10 in our Kena: Bridge of Spirits review.

Alongside a photo mode, new game+, and other welcome post-launch updates and improvements, the Xbox version of the game includes the following extras:

  • Digital soundtrack
  • Golden Rot skin
  • Unique Kena staff
  • Retail exclusive sticker sheet
  • Xbox exclusive pirate-themed hats

If you've already played Kena on PlayStation, you should check out all of the PS5 exclusives on sale right now during Days of Play.

@Pedro: Well it is an Indie game. So, reduced price yet still very high quality game especially given the dev team is made of just 15 people. I played a few hours and would say it's a 7 or 8/10, just not my usual type of game.
