High Velocity Bowling gets Move patch...for PS Plus subs

I think Sony is going downhill. You would think after paying 100 dollars for a PS Move and Eye system, and already paying for High Velocity bowling, that a PATCH would be free.... Actually i thought all patches were free. But why on earth would you make someone PAY extra just to use the controller you spent so much money on to play this game with?? Even if they release this patch for free in the future... obviously they are able to release it now, so Sony, why would you make us pay? PLEASE GOD, DO NOT MAKE ME WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT AN X BOX. At this point, theres not much of a difference.

Quick question..... With the blu-ray version of HV Bowling, I've been told you need to install it on your hard drive. After that initial install, do you need the disk to play the game or is the completely unlocked version on your console???

@ noturfangirl Sorry $ony, we've already played wii sports ********************************************************* We've been playing it for like 4 years now. One of the things I don't like about HV Bowling is there is no tournament or league play. The old Brunswick games on the PS2 included a decent league and tournament mode. HV Bowling is good, but it's very bare-boned. Not enough modes or options really.

@SpedKnight true but you miss everything else. yes, you pay for live because its a dedicated server which is down once a year for a major update, and they let you know months in advance. gold members get weekly discounts on live arcade games, and dlc(fallout dlc was 30 percent off earlier this year). there are no selective handfuls of people who have access to game demos or game patches. when a game on the xbox gets a patch EVERYONE who has their console hooked up to the internet gets the patch, not just a select few. that is my major gripe with ps+

Great way to treat those that have bought a Move control set. Not that I would buy this game, but this smells. All this is is a 'patch' for a game that has been out for 3 years to add support for Sony's new motion controller. You think they would be thankfull for the people that support them.

@mrzero1982pt2 the only games you dont get to keep are the ones you get completely free...with ps+ you also get discounted games and you absolutely get to keep them. and the silver subscription is pretty much like the free psn....only on psn you can play games online. all you really pay for on xbox live is the online...which once again..is free on psn.

i think it would be cool if they patched kz2 to MOVE.

I have the patch and it works well with HVB, also the Planet Mini golf is a lot better with the Move as well.

First time a patch has been sold before? I dunno, but it's a pretty crappy MOVE if you ask me...

So us who don't want to pay for PS+ have to wait for a patch that turns an awful game into a good game. Interesting decision on Sony's part, to say the least.

Lame move on Sony's part, they're only hurting themselves and us. Why the comparison with Xbox Live? They're the only console that charges for online play.

and you gamers say we xbox live gamers have it bad when microsoft screwed us over. now sony is giving "selected" playstation plus members access to betas and other games? and once you do not pay for it, you do not keep the games you purchased? man, when i get a ps3, i will not get ps+. at least with LIVE you can have a free silver subscription and can buy games, which are mine.

I got the Move, but do not have HVB. Does anyone have both and have the patch that could tell me how the game is??? And how it compares to Wii Sports bowling which I already have. BTW, if this weeks PSPlus discounts and freebees do not make PSPlus look appetizing I don't know what will. Free Zen Pinball! Also all of the Warhawk DLC for free. Also where did all of you haters come from??? I now have over 90 dollars of free stuff, and it has only been a few months. Still have 12 months left!

THIS IS BS!!!!!!!! I own the game and the MOVE controller, so WTF SONY!!!! Stuff like this "hostage" patch delays for us that dont have PSN+ is what pisses people off and will ultimately hurt SONY. Cut the crap out SONY!!!!

I'm not wasting my money on PSN PP crap. I'll just wait for the patch. As for the game, it's good. I beat it fairly quickly. The controls weren't the greatest. Getting a 300 is pretty tough.

Getting the Move controllers next week and am a PS+ Subscriber. I'm all set and look forward to seeing how this game works with the Move controller.

On the bright side, we still have most of the things on PSN without paid subscription.

Well, I'm not complaining- this is part of the exclusive content that Sony promised.

I'm still waiting to see how SOCOM plays w/ the Move before I'd consider it.

A patch for $50? blimey

Wii Sports Resort already provides me with 1:1 bowling so thanks but no thanks. And to exclude everyone but ps+ subscribers is a slap in the face for lyal customers, like myself. So today, Sony, you can get bent.

Hahahaha... Now that's a pretty big blow! But it was going to happen, sooner or later. Nothing's for free these days.

Well, if I get a Move (which I will someday probably) I can finally play this game as it was pretty much unplayable in it's current form (at least in my opinion).

About time Sony, too bad I already got WiiSports bowling though.

Ya I got the demo for it then said I cant use Move with it and I was pissed, that was the only reason I was going to try it.

Making a patch exclusive to PS+ members isn't something that will make me want to drop $50 on a subscription. Especially when the exclusive patch is to a DLC that I'm pretty sure not a lot of PS3 owners own. Throw in the fact that the Move just came out and you pretty much have a move (excuse the pun) that doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm also wondering if they'll do their demo like the Planet MiniGolf Demo: throw in the Move guide prompts but when you go to utilitize Move features, they tell you the only way you can actually use the Move is to buy the game first LOL

so what if you've to wait, just be grateful they're keeping PSN free.

OMG I HAVE to play High Velocity Bowling with a Move controller RIGHT NOW!!! ...Or I could just go on living my life. PS+ Users paid to have exclusive and early access to things. Sony is giving it to them. Everyone else will get their candy when they finish their chores. I'd say all is fair & well in the world of PSN.

Well that's about the most USELESS patch I've ever heard of.How many people actually own this game, let alone find it enjoyable?

This is no different than M$ letting Gold subbers get certain downloads first. Wait it is, patches? You have to be a subscriber to get 'patches' to a game? I really hope this doesnt become the trend.

@Cereo1 Yeah, its only Plus for now, but everything I've ever seen on Playstation Plus was available to everybody after a week or two. Odds are it'll be available for download to the rest of us in under a month.

Awesome? More like BS, I bought this game years ago and now they are telling me I can't use my new Move controllers unless I become a Plus subscriber?? I already bought your game, I already spent $100 on Move controllers, and now I have to pay for Plus too? Gaming is a hobby of mine, sure, but nickel and dime me too many times and I'll just have to resort to no longer buying new products because I cannot afford it. Take a lesson from Valve and PC gaming, give people a little something because they are loyal now and then, not screw them over because you know they are loyal. And yes I realize Sony said it will come 'eventually' to free users but how long and why? They are trying to force people into paying more money to stay up/
