Because I didn't care for LotRO is precisely why I'm reading and posting about it. I want a true AAA quality Middle Earth Experience. Whether of the MMORPG variety or more like the Witcher or Skyrim, it doesn't matter. I post because I adore LotR lore but have never experienced it done really well in a video game. Now, if LotRO is as profitable as you SAY, then sure, leave it up and running so there is more funding $ for the game I hope and wish for.

That's precisely why I posted that I want them to work on a AAA game set in Middle Earth... because I didn't really care for LotRO.. in spite of my adoration for LotR lore. Of course, if the game has been profitable, let it stay alive and active while another game is being worked on at a different studio. That's my wish.

Lotro does look really good tho. I think the people who are complaining about graphics were playing the game while streaming the dl, so they had the lowest graphics settings while they tried out the game.

Game itself was pretty good. The instances I played were actually difficult, that was a nice change from other mmos like wow. I'm thinking about trying it out again.

@jjfddf Well said. Well said. An MMORPG with an 86 Metacritic score whose revenue triples after adopting an F2P model is not a game for haters to simply balk at anytime promising news surfaces. They're simply trying to draw attention to the hate to keep people from either A. Playing the game, or B. Leaving the games THEY play. It's classic trolling, simple as that. Believe it or not, I'm a lot like you; I play the game for a few months after expansions release, then go and play other games for a bit. I cycle through three MMORPGs a year so that I don't get burnt out on one, and it hasn't failed me yet. I, for one, am looking forward to finally being able to see Helm's Deep realized in LotRO. If they pay homage to it the way they already did for places like Weathertop and Mirkwood, then there's a promise of healthy longevity for years to come. WoW's lasted this long; no reason LotRO can't.

I loved that game, it was simple yet deep, absolutely adored it!

Too bad they messed it up by the free building in the sequel. NO ARCHERS ON WALLS, WTF?!

Create a hero was cool, but had many limitations. I thought a troll hero would decimate fools with his mighty swing, chucking away everyone like sauron or even a regular troll did, but it was a single target attack... really? really...

Remake that 1st game with today's graphics and I'll pay double for it!

@ZetA_LatA Feel sorry about you. You should install WOW and took another look at the graphics. Visualizations are the last thing when comes to MMO games.

@JustArtificial I thoroughly enjoyed playing LOTR: War In The North in co-op. The game is linear and not very long, but my son and I really had a good time with it. I'd love to see another game like that.

@freeformrulz Apparently it's quite popular if they're about to release their 5th expansion pack. I might need to try it out myself, never did.

@freeformrulz My wife loves the game. Kind of like Eve Online, it's possible to have a successful MMO without having a player base larger than some countries.
