GTAV title update detailed

My first and last Rockstar game.

Still can't get my head round the mandatory pvp race at the start of GTA Online. If they knew there would be problems at least make it accessible in solo mode but one bright spark at Rockstar thought it would be best to open it with a mandatory pvp race just to ensure it's fully blocked to play...

You sould blame EA. Everything is their fault (according to GS community)

Not at the same time they won't. Apart from launch day/week, the numbers are going to decrease 3-4 times, just like it happens with any MMO or other popular online game.

Of course Rockstar were expecting these amount of people logging in at start. But the time and resources needed to setup all those new servers are just not worth it. They're going to take them down in a couple of days anyway, so what's the point.

All the gamers are already expecting the servers to be overloaded on launch. And for those living under rock Rockstar will issue a short apology thanking them for their support and saying how they didn't expect such a large amount of people to like their product. Maybe give away a free skin for your character for all the trouble.

Likewise but we all knew there'd be problems when this launched but I do agree with 6orange6 on the character creation it is pretty lame, I was expecting something a lot more from Rockstar for the online component.

I still can't play online

been on it for an hour. First impressions;

Lag is horrendous during title sequence, it streams objects off the net and you are not getting texture pop ins, more like entire street pop ins.

Character creation has the most lame system I have ever seen in my life. You have to mess about with tiny pictures on screen of 4 grandparents, which generates your parents, then you. All the avatars look like each other, with mexican/black features dominating. Nothing wrong with those races, just more choice would be nice.

In game the streets sort of have life in them, but its about 20% of the people and cars in the single player game.

i'm feeling pretty misogynistic right now...

In short, 1billion + people trying to login at once. RockStar mentioned that there would be problems on first day of launch. Most gamers are still idiots not to realize how things really work.

Now you know how they are going to protect the noobs who waste their money buying in-game cash. This defeats the purpose of the game. GTA Online went from sounding like the best thing ever to a huge, steaming pile of shit.

Good job Rockstar for ruining the experience. It is not only Pay to Win with fancy houses, cars, and overpowered guns that they never earned, but now you create a mode to protect these sissies. Well you won't get a dime from me.

The cloud..the cloud...the miraculous cloud...gaming in the cloud....doesn't work does it??? But I'm sure next gen will miraculously fix the cloud...you gotta love people that defend shit that doesn't work. :)

The dumb thing they have done is in solo play they have made it so the first thing you have to do is compete with others, they should have made it so you can play solo and not force you to have to connect with others from the word go just allowing you to do the solo things for the time being

I guess this is the future of gaming? Always online, in other words wait a few weeks after the "Launch date" to be able to play!

Been trying all day but can't connect. I knew there would be problems at first. Hope they fix things soon I'm in gaming limbo hell right now!
