GTA Trilogy Remaster Confirmed For This Year As Existing Editions Get Delisted

Got all 3 on OG Xbox discs, and if the OG Xbox doesn't boot up then I know one of the three 360s probably will. Apparently San Andreas is actually playable on BackCompat, so maybe I'll just boot each game and spend a day recording their radio stations to MP3 for safekeeping. Seems like a nice way to spend a day of holiday PTO!

I'm starting to wonder if they CAN release a new GTA game right now. When you look at all the past games, they are sexist, racist, all the other -ists you can think of - and we loved it because it was tongue-in-cheek and we all understood the joke. There was some blowback but it was all ignored because people didn't take it seriously.

NOW? Now with "cancel culture", militant SJWs, the "woke" movement...all of those things we accepted as satire become reasons to boycott, de-platform, protest, etc.

I'm curious if that is having an effect (or affect) on their decision to delay the release.

I'd rather see a sequel to China Town Wars. By far my favorite GTA. Just imagine how awesome a game like that could look using state of the art graphics technology.

I'm so glad I never gave money to rockstar in my life... now that I see the remasters I could pay... but they might get another remaster in 2050.... I'll wait 30 more years.... unless this remasters are free, as they should, then I'll give rockstar forever all my money.

I remember using Rockstar Launcher when playing GTA Episodes From Liberty City.

It was horrible. It used to pop up everytime I launched the game and often got in the way of me playing the game as did that Games for Windows crap that was embedded into it aswell. I had to log into both of them to get the game to run like how stupid is that.

I had the box copy of GTA Episodes from Liberty City and GTA 4 on discs and I haven't played them in years. I don't know if they even work anymore.

GTA Episodes From Liberty City now that had proper story based DLC. GTA online ruined GTA 5 for me. GTA online is a piece of shit.

I'll be shocked if it's more than an attempt at a quick cash grab.

Me purchasing these games yet again rides on just how much they have improved them past the versions I already own.
