Grand Theft Auto V delayed, due September 17

Sad to hear it got delayed but at the same time i'm sorta glad they did as it's like saving 1 of the best for last and the fact that the 1st half of the year is so jam packed with so many titles coming, it's good their breaking away from that as this way, we don't have a crazy ass game drought come the 2nd half of 2013!!

This is heartbreaking, but at least they are taking their time and polishing it, still I wouldn't mind some screenshots just for compensation.

why do i have a feeling this is gona end up just like gta4....a hugely ambitious and hyped up game that turns out to be just meh overall. i also dont think id ever recognize a rockstar game if it wasnt delayed

I'm thinking they held it back to keep the releases close to a yet to be announced PS4, Next Xbox, PC and Maybe WiiU ports, after those consoles are announced. That way you only have to wait 3-6 months for a Next Gen port that could have some incentives for the crowd that gets the new consoles around Christmas to buy a game that isn't old yet, but they know is good and will show off the new consoles and get people used to the notch above 360 and PS3 visuals to pump demand up for the Next Gen even more.

I was really looking forward to a Spring release, but I know this delay is for the best. At least this leaves room to purchase some other promising looking games coming out in the Spring instead.

A little disappointed that it's coming out after school starts, but that polish will make it extra awesome.

also i heard that they are going to make the driving easier. Mastering the different vehicles was one thing i loved about gta4 realistic physics are fun i dont want it to feel like some boring arcade racer controlls

rockstar has the resources and i dont see any reason they wouldnt make this for wii u also the game is going to make so much money i dont see how it would be a bad financial decision. it would help out nintendo so much

I just hope all of the ambition being put into this game is worth the effort. I mean no one really asked for an insanely huge map. I think most GTA fans would be happy with a decent sized map, more customization options and a funner story.

I am happy with a massive map but if it is going to be as empty and stale as GTA 4's map then I don't want it to be 10 times bigger..thats pointless.

It kind of sucks because GTA was suppose to get use through the boring dead time for games in the summer. It also gives you ample time to get a decent amount of play time in before 50 other good games comes out in the fall.

I just hope the Multiplayer is the shining star. With a map that size I really hope you can actually do more in it then get into a police standoff in a Clunkin Bell with some buds.

I'm hoping for a Wii U release but if it isn't announced I will get the Ps3 version.

It's kind of funny, if this was some other less renowned studio you would probably be soo pissed off and not believe them... but when its Rockstar you can't help but believe every word of it. They want more time to make it as perfect as it can be, and I'm sure the final product will be...

"We need more time because we're working on a PC version and is planning for a simultaneous release on all platforms (except WiiU)"

I'm fine with a delay as long as the release with no bugs, as R* games usually have litte to no bugs.

Im fine with this. In the end if they need time to make a better game then they should go ahead. People would complain if it got released early due in being rushed and other crap like that.

well as long as they keep their promise of being bigger than RDR, GTA 4 and SA combined I'm all good

I'm ok with them pushing it back, but what sucks it's at the the beginning of the school year, so I won't be able to enjoy it over the summer

Good that I got sleeping dogs ,because I was thinking about waiting for gta v but since I saw them didn't give specific time for the release date I was kind of sure that they will delay it /
