Gorgeous Xbox One/PC Game Cuphead Delayed Until 2017

"Gorgeous" = this childish ugly cartoon thing?

I can see all major titles either from MS or Sony being pushed from here on out to accommodate for the UHD up touch that seems to be taking games by storm.

Forget Halo. I want an Xbox for this game alone.

It just goes to show how peoples' opinions can differ; this game has been getting pretty serious hype for about a year now, and it looks like so many people are saddened by the fact it's been put back (in regards to that I would always tell the devs to keep hold of the thing until it's properly ready to go), but I really can't remember the last time I saw a game that I wanted less. Maybe one of the US sports games. Or minecraft. Or one of those on-rail choose-a-response games like the Walking Dead.

But, whenever this does come out I hope everyone loves it and really enjoys playing it. But this isn't for me thanks.

Kinda knew it since there was little info on it. At least there's lots to play until then.

If they spend that time making platforming levels half-decent (they're terrible at the moment), then it's definitely a good decision for the players.

Well, I'd rather they release it in 2017 with the full vision realized than releasing a lesser version in 2016. It still sucks to have to wait that long though.

that's quite a delay... 8 months? wow. these guys are pouring their heart and soul into this game and i can respect that. there is no need to neglect your original vision just to please the community... many of which will just pirate the game on pc anyways. i'm starting to wonder if the devs are thinking of porting the game to ps4 now, hence the delay? if not, they must greatly regret their decision to go with microsoft. so many lost sales, not to mention the general x1 demographic won't even enjoy this game.

I'm still buying it day one.

How is it possible that professional critics have "loved" this amazing game for more than 2 years and yet the game wasn't even close to complete......is this a Sony game? smh....

disappointing to hear that it's been delayed but still really looking forward to it!

I did LOVE the look of this game. Great art style and a platformer to boot, which are nearly always good fun...

But after watching the gameplay videos and just seeing boss fight after boss fight and the endless shooting (the sound effect of which really grates on the ears after a few minutes), I'm now not so sure :-(

I haven't get a One yet but this game is the one that keeps tempting me :)

That's a disappointment, though its better to have a game delayed, than a game that is rushed and has full of problems (Im looking at you Ubisoft)
