Give Blood, And You'll Get In This Cat Game's Credits

The developer behind Gori: Cuddly Carnage wants to make the best out of a censorship issue with the title.

With China and Japan censoring Gori: Cuddly Carnage for being too gory, the people behind the upcoming game want to turn the setback into a good cause. As such, Angry Demon Studio and Wired Productions are offering people the chance to be credited in the title by donating blood.

Angry Demon Studio made the announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter), sharing directions on how to appear in the credits as a "Lifesaver." Basically, it boils down to taking a selfie while giving blood and using the hashtag "GorisGotBlood" on either X or Instagram. It's all part of turning "a bloody mess into a bloody good cause."

On Steam, it's explained that Gori: Cuddly Carnage will feature "purple juice" instead of blood in Asian countries where it's censored. That won't affect the hack-and-slash action game in Europe or North America.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage will see players assuming the role of a hoverboarding cat who slices and dices up the Adorable Army, which includes unicorns. The game wants people to dispose of foes in the "most brutal and stylish way possible."

Launching August 29, Gori: Cuddly Carnage is slated to arrive on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A demo for the game is coming August 8.

So in Japan I can watch an octopus ram a tentacle in to a womens orifice, or buy a schoolgirls panties but I can't see some digital blood in a video game? What a world we live in.

@Blk_Mage_Ctype: Better than the shitty rigged "donate for a chance to win a prize" crap that no one actually wins.
