Black Friday is just a few weeks away, making now a great time to pick up a Walmart+ subscription. The monthly service offers a ton of perks, but the most compelling reason in November is for early access to Black Friday deals. Best of all, the service is currently being offered at a discount--right now, you can snag a full year of Walmart+ for just $49, down from $98, until November 3.

Walmart+ is a fairly well-rounded monthly subscription that offers everything from discounts on gas to free grocery delivery. It’s typically a bit too expensive to recommend to anyone but regular Walmart shoppers--but now that you can pick up a full-year subscription for $49, it’s hard to pass up for the quick shipping and Paramount+ membership alone. Aside from early access to all online Black Friday deals, here’s a look at everything that comes with your membership.

Walmart+ Membership Benefits

  • Free Paramount+ membership
  • Free delivery from your store ($35 order minimum)
  • Free shipping
  • Save up to 10 cents per gallon at Exxon, Mobil, Walmart, and Murphy gas stations
  • Earn rewards and discounts
  • Mobile Scan & Go checkout system

A few limited-time offers are also available today, including a $15 Lyft credit and six months of Spotify Premium.

All of that for just $49 is pretty enticing. Members with a Walmart nearby will get the most bang for their buck, although free shipping, gas savings, and early Black Friday access could make it a great fit for anyone.

Walmart+ is not great. They make you watch ads on Paramount+ and you have to sign in every single time. The Parmount+ app barely works on anything. 10 cents off of a gallon of gas, but only at the least common gas stations and even still, they're top tier gas stations so the gas is more expensive. Mobile scan and go sounds awesome until you realize you still have to stand in a long line at the self checkout lane and you still have to bag your own items. So it doesn't help much. They use FedEX and if you know how horrible FedEX is, you'll not want to buy stuff online for that fact alone!

That is an incredible deal, actually. Walmart.com does have some really good deals as well. My only gripe is the Walmart website itself. When searching for certain products or categories you are inundated with walmart 'certified sellers' that push products unrelated to your search. This does happen at Amazon, Newegg, Ebay as well, but no where near as bad as Walmart.

A little added time here and there, adds up. And makes for less then optimal experience. Say your looking for a box of 17X11" short grain, cover stock paper. Before long you start getting Cri-Cut paper for their machine. I like Newegg because you have so much information about the products, unlike amazon and walmart that, you then have to goto newegg just to find out specs or pdf.s. I will admit both Amazon and Walmart sites have gotten so much better over the years.

I buy enough soda, food, paper towels, and other stuff for our business that Walmart ships it to us for free. That alone, saves us a ton of time, and gives other people jobs. Worth it. But it is Bullshit that Walmart and many other stores, keep certain products behind paywalls or subs, like the PS5.

I don't shop at Walmart much online but have bought a Keurig K Cup for $49 and got it delivered the same day from Door dash which surprised me. $50 isn't bad for Walmart+ since it's $99 normally. If I ordered a lot from Walmart, I would get it but I usually prefer to shop at Walmart in store.
