While admitedly it has been a relatively slow news week here at GameSpot, there have been a number of big stories and updates that caught our eye.

Gamers attempting to sue Origin and Electronic Arts in court suffered a defeat this week when the judge decided that the gamers could not be recognized as a class. In the meantime, the judge will be determining if the gamers' attorney George Schultz is even fit to represent the gamers.

Activision is looking to step up in the gaming world, and it made a big step this week with the announcement that it signed a ten-year licensing agreement with Viacom for the purposes of creating multiplatform Star Trek games.
