Get Rory McIlroy PGA Tour for a deep discount this week.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is currently marked down to just $20 at Best Buy in a promotion running on the same week that The Masters are taking place. It appears Best Buy is the only major retailer offering the 50 percent off discount, as retailers like GameStop and Amazon, as well as digital venues including Xbox Store and PlayStation Store, are still selling it for around $40.

The Masters is considered by some to be the Super Bowl of golf, with competition rounds scheduled to take place Thursday through Sunday this week at Augusta National, in Augusta, Georgia. Best Buy's discount on the game is likely tied to the increase in awareness that the game of will receive this week.

Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked members can save even more on Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, as their 20 percent discount brings the price down to $16 (via Slickdeals). Best Buy's offer is good for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.

Head to Best Buy's website here to learn more and place an order.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour launched in July 2015. Many reviews, including GameSpot's, called out the game for a lack of content, and EA Sports has since released new courses and characters as free DLC.

Unfortunately for many, the game still lacks Augusta National, the site of this week's real-world Masters. The course could come to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour as DLC, EA Sports has said, but it hasn't happened yet.

I bought the game for 19€ on XBL when it was on a deal of the week i think.

I didnt played a golf game for several years now...just few arcade golf games(Hot Shot,Tee Off,Ace Golf) and was curious about the PGA game.

I was kinda expecting way more...i found sterile character creation, average graphics and performance, boring presentation of the career mode, while playing as a female golfer i hear often comments treating her as a "him" and they tacked an arcade mode for casuals :-(

The only plus was/are the free DLC courses. I am glad i didnt bought it for the launch price of $60

@sladakrobot: That was the whole reason I passed on it at launch, which is a rare thing for me with a golf game. the content was so light at launch it was embarrassing that they were asking $60 for that. I also recently picked it up when it went on sale for $15 a few weeks back - I almost didn't as I was fairly sure they would have added it to the EA Access Vault this week. Now it looks like that will not be the case, so I am glad I picked it up when I did for that price.

The gameplay was very good, best it has been in years. But everything else is so lacking there is no way I can recommend anyone pay full price for it - even with the free additions they have made since launch. But if you can get it for $15-$20, then I would recommend it (or wait for the eventual EA Access Vault release which I now estimate will be around the US Open - just a guess).

I'm tempted, not sure if they're going to release a new one this year or not.

@brn-dn: They aren't, and it remains to be seen if they are going to add more to this title as they developers have been extremely tight lipped about it.

@dlCHIEF58: I thought they already have added a bunch of post-launch content?

@brn-dn: Depends upon your definition of "a bunch". Pretty much all they have added was 4 courses and turn based play for online (and even that is limited, I believe you can only play 9 holes that way). The game is still severely lacking content, but is better than it was at launch. Hopefully they will be a little more forthcoming with their plans after the end of the last financial quarter which was implied as the reason for much of the recent silence about the game's future.
