Def Jam goes gold

Electronic Arts has announced that Def Jam: Vendetta for the PlayStation 2 has gone gold. In the game, players can choose to wrestle as a variety of different characters, including 12 artists from the Def Jam recording label. Def Jam: Vendetta features a surprisingly robust wrestling engine that lets players perform a variety of different moves ranging from standard grappling holds and throws to submissions. There are also a variety of different wrestling locations in the game as well as a soundtrack featuring various artists from Def Jam.

The PlayStation 2 version of Def Jam: Vendetta is scheduled to hit store shelves on March 18. We'll have more on the game soon.
