Now Playing: Hunt: Showdown | Immolator Gameplay Trailer

Crytek notes that space in the beta is "limited," and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you're interested you'll want to act quickly.

The playtest runs until 6 AM PT on Monday, May 20. Since it's a beta/playtest, the game in unfinished and you may experience some bugs or other oddities. Crytek encourages player to report issues and other feedback through the Xbox One's built-in reporting tools.

"There are a lot of ways to play Hunt. You can work alone, or you can work in pairs," Crytek says. "You can take a smaller risk and grind for XP, or you can risk it all and try to take out every enemy, every Hunter, and every boss you come across. And those are just a few of the options. There are so many strategic possibilities that players have a lot of space to make the experience theirs."

Hunt: Showdown is currently in Early Access on PC as well.

Played a couple free weekends on Steam. Great idea, fun game, but in desperate need of a lot more content. Pretty much had done everything there was to do within a couple of hours.

I would have been more excited if they had just called it Crysis 4 ONLINE multiplayer, and given us the body suits and the new tech gear to fight off PVE aliens & bosses, while fighting PVP. This type of sci-fi game would have gone a lot smoother if you ask me. Get the people who are fans of Crysis & new fans. I still think that Crysis 2 is the best XB360 ever made & the other two are also great. One of only a few games I bothered to beat multiple times. Hope they put out a remastered Crysis 1-3 at least, and I can only hope for a future Crysis 4 which will probably never happen.

@mcnichoj: I have the PC version haven't played it in awhile though, it's fun but imo very frustrating on PC due to cheating, which unfortunately is hard to prove due to you only having one life and no killcams. (Like dying due to aim bots etc) It will probably be more enjoyable on consoles. It reminds me of battle royale games in a way except it's teams of two with objectives and AI monsters throughout the map. Plus you go in with your own load out which sets it apart.
