Awesome news. This is great news for families, and those that enjoy wholesome, uplifting, edifying, and positive gaming experiences.

I rented this for the WIi and I played it on my brothers DS, I would have to say its better on the DS than it was on the Wii

Yup, this is what we need. More Cooking Mama, less MGS. Wii is great for the gaming market.

Strange that it would only come out in the UK. I don't think the game sold any better there than in the US.

I would consider this an expansion rather than a sequel...make my meal discount price next time please...

Haha, that guy that called into the Hotspot a few months back who thought that Cooking Mama was keeping awesome, new games from coming out is gonna be pretty pissed off. =D Personally, I don't really care either way. It's just not my thing.

This game has so much potential. Give it a great storyline, give us RPG elements. Give us a point to want to play it a lot. Get the game right this time, Office Create!

this is another love it or hate it game. It offers something unique and so I hope they fix the minor problems from the first one. Other wise on the DS for $20 price tag, it was worth every penny.

am i the only one that cooks with my wii and in the kitchen at the same time??!?!?!??!!

My fiancee loves that game... but the audio is just so damn horrid! And the graphics are just worse. Lets hope they use photo sprites instead of 2d textureless objects for this one. Oh, and having someone say the cheers in english instead of half translated english, would b enice too. like when she says "a little bit", it has no meaning. a little bit of what?

The Wii version was sooo frustrating at first because none of the directions to each of the mini-games were clear at all. Basically how to use the Wii remote in each of the mini-games is a puzzle all its own. But once I had it figured out, it was a blast. I could say the same thing about the DS version (about it being tough to learn), but it still ended up being lots of fun once I had learned what to do.

I never played the DS version but the Wii version is not great but i have had a good time with it.

The Wii version sucked big time. The sensor for it was too much to handle it was either over-responsive or sluggish. The DS was quite superior and its really like Iron Chef. It has a greater appeal when you challenge you friends.

@ felkin but then why do people become chefs for a living? dont get me wrong, this kind of game doesnt appeal to me either

I've never seen the appeal of these games. What's the fun in cooking when you can't eat the results?

I love Cooking Mama because it really utilizes the Wii and DS controls! :D

Fun for mums, boring for me.

I know enough people enjoyed the DS verison that it would warrant a sequel, but I'm very surprised about the Wii version. That one pretty much tanked. But I guess the development cost for the game was as low as it could get so maybe it still made money...

Cooking Babe would add a nice touch to that !!! :D

Interesting.... I've heard that the games are actually a lot of fun, but I have yet to try the DS or Wii games yet. Maybe I'll think about picking this one up when it releases, the only thing is I see these kinds of games as budget price games but they still sell for a retail price.

im not a huge fan of the wii. nintendo says 'the wii will be the console that people play when they want to relax' but ummmm why would i wont to wave around a stick to relex? id rather have4 a joypad in my hands

umm...

I just traded in Cooking Mama for DS at Gamestop. They had a deal going where you trade in two DS games and get an extra $10. Traded it in with Animal Crossing Wild World and got like $40. Ridiculous. Cooking Mama's pretty funny for a little bit, but I wouldn't pay another $20 (which I think is what it cost originally) for weirdness. It's sortof like a food-oriented WarioWare, that's all.

These games suck!

So many titles released in Japan never make the leap over...hope this is not one of them.
