CDV Software Entertainment has today announced that it has acquired the rights to publish Panzers for the PC. The World War II-inspired 3D strategy game is being developed by Hungarian studio Stormregion, the same company responsible for developing the strategy game S.W.I.N.E. , which was released by Fishtank Interactive last year.

"We are extremely happy to welcome Stormregion on board," said Terry Malham, president of CDV Software Entertainment UK. "By signing this new publishing deal with yet another talented and upcoming development studio, we are once again able to strengthen our portfolio, and further establish our reputation as a quality publisher."

Details on Panzers are scarce at present, but we do know that the game will feature single-player campaigns for the Russian, German, and Allied forces. There will be more than 30 single-player missions in total, and in addition to ground troops, players will be able to command more than a hundred different authentic vehicles.

Panzers is currently scheduled for release late next year. We'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
