Capcom unveils upcoming PSN slate

@Dawg9000 - Although that would be cool.. I imagine Sony wouldn't want the PS3 cannibalizing the PSP by being able to play all of its games.

Alright Sony.. pull some strings and get Final Fantasy VIII & IX, Silent Hill, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, Einhander, Chrono Cross, Breath of Fire 3 & 4, and Xenogears(among many others) on the PSN and you will be golden. Even though I have all of these titles.. a digital copy that is playable on the PSP as well is definitely worth the price tag.

@Hvac0120 - Well.. heres to hoping that the PSN continues to grow at this rate.

@Petri87 - Yeah.. I never said that Silent Hill was a Capcom game.. I was referring to Sony getting more of the PS1 "survival horror" classics on PSN.. thats why I mentioned the three others I did.

I have a feeling that we are going to see a LOT of downloadable game announcements leading up to the holiday season. By the holiday we are sure to see a huge spike and PSN Gift Cards will be the hottest item at retail.

About time..I still have RE2 & 3, but they're the Win95 PC versions and I don't exactly feel like trying to get those working again!

Resident Evil 3 oh baby. That's definitely a buy. But man I wish you could play PSP games on PS3. I would so buy Megaman Maverick Hunter X.

I know it's not Capcom, but, um... Parasite Eve, Tekken 3, and Final Fantasy 8 on PSN. And these? They're Capcom, but they're taking too long: Rival Schools, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Monkeys in the back, make it happen!!

Dino crisis FTW!.... basically RE with Dinosaurs, great game. I'd love to see them reboot that series too......PowerStone is another Dreamcast gem.

@ Adziboy - you're right that you can setup accounts for the different territories, but the whole point is that we shouldn't have to do that. The PSN should be consistent across all territories - bottom line. And at the moment, it just isn't.... Europe gets especially skanked when it comes to not just the available content, but the way it's arranged too. For instance - looking for PS3 demos? Well, on Euro PSN, there's no demo section... you either have to look up the "latest" section and hope that new demos you're looking for are in there, or you have to trawl right through the A - Z or categories just to find them... I can't for the life of me think why you should have to do this on Euro PSN when on the US version, there is sensibly a section dedicated to demos as you would expect. Sony have a lot of work to do on their European PSN offering if they want to truly make their mark... so far, they're just not delivering as well as we know they can.

@Niccara - Silent Hill is a Konami game so i doubt that Capcom will announce that they are releasing it on PSN

Awesome, RE2 is a must buy for me. I had 1-3 on the PS and RE 0-4 on GCN and now I will have the best classic RE(RE2) on the PSP/PS3.

Oh, I am SO buying RE 1-3!!! I owned 1 and 2 back in the day and loved to have them back. I didn't care for the GCN remake of 1 and didn't feel like spending $20-$30 for the DC or GCN ports, so $6 a game for a total of $18 works for me!

Its about time someone did something on the PSN, its been pretty dire compared to the other two networks. With the obvious exception of final fantasy VII there havent really been any new titles worth buying so i welcome the inclusion of some of Capcoms finest!

I want to be excitied about this but with the European store they are taking way too long to give us PS games. I am keeping my fingers crossed we will be getting more soon as I am starting to get a bit disheartened with the European PSN :( Great news for US PSN though.

I wonder just how long will this take to be available in the European PSN after the US release. We're still waiting for RE1...

they already have the 1st resident 4 my birthday ill get all 1,2,3 resident evil i already own resident evil 5 i haven't played none only 5 cause i have it and sense my ps3 plays all ps3 games ill buy the fourth
