Capcom Reminds Us Pragmata Still Exists, Then Delays It Indefinitely

Capcom briefly showed its upcoming sci-fi game Pragmata before announcing it has been delayed beyond 2023.

Capcom announced during its showcase that Pragmata, its sci-fi third-person game, has been delayed beyond 2023. No new window was given, but Capcom did briefly show off the game, and it revealed a few small details.

In this new trailer, we learn that the little girl from the original 2020 reveal is named Diana. We also see a soldier dressed in a white astronaut suit fight robots in combat. In the small snippets of gameplay shown, we see the astronaut moving around a space station-like facility, with Diana in his backpack. He fights smaller robots in close-combat and we see him fighting a large mech.

Now Playing: PRAGMATA - June 2023 Trailer

There is also a brief close-up of Diana near the end of the trailer, where she interacts with a floating computer interface. Her eyes are shown close up, with a similar-looking interface in her eyes, implying that she is connected to technology somehow, either as a robot herself or just via some cybernetic enhancements.

Pragmata was originally revealed in 2020 with a 2022 release window, however in late 2021 the game was delayed to 2023. Pragmata is releasing on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, and got another delay to an unannounced future window.

Pragmata wasn't on the leaked Capcom release schedule, and that runs to '24, so it's not really surprising.

At least we now know it's a Last of Us with robots sort of deal.

Well not as bad as a Duke Nukem, but who knows, this should come out one day.

How I wish this was a Parasite Eve reboot/sequel.

@jenovaschilld: Parasite Eve is a Square Enix title.
