Bayonetta Origins Discounted To Just $30, Best Price Yet

The new Bayonetta spin-off is available for only $30 right now.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon released just earlier this year, and although Nintendo-published games often take a while to be discounted, you can already get it for half price. Bayonetta Origins is on sale for only $30 right now at Woot--a great price for a game we awarded a 9/10.

Bayonetta Origins is quite the departure from the mainline series. You play as two characters, Cereza and Cheshire, simultaneously as you navigate a colorful world from an isometric perspective. There's still action combat, but Bayonetta Origins is more puzzle- and narrative-focused.

Despite big changes in style and tone, Bayonetta Origins is more than worthy of its name. As noted above, it earned a 9/10 in our Bayonetta Origins review.

"Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and The Lost Demon is a testament to thinking outside the box," critic Jessica Howard wrote. "While I don't suspect Platinum Games will pivot to this new style of gameplay and storytelling in future Bayonetta games in the same way Breath of the Wild or God of War (2018) shifted the direction of their respective franchises, I cannot help but be thankful that the studio trusted the vision of its team enough to create this experience. Though with how fantastic every aspect of the game is, I understand why the developer did."

As a prequel, you can enjoy Bayonetta Origins even if you haven't played the other three games in the franchise. That said, we'd highly recommend playing all three of them. Bayonetta 3, which released last fall, is discounted to $48 at Amazon.

It's still creepy they took a hyper-sexualized character and then made her a little kid.

Straight men aren't okay, are they?

I remember when games like this already were 45$ or lower, seems a big ask for non mainline entry.

I saw this game at work, the animations are adorable. Sound and music is Bayonetta metal rock if filtered through chibi anime. So far an action rpg looking game, that seems fun.

The animations and art direction is amazing if a bit dated lacking fidelity, shadows, and high framerates. Be nice if this was also on PC. I really hope a switch 2 is sooner rather then later.

Why does this game look like Nanotale?

And why does a Bayonetta typing game sound like it would be awesome?
