Update: Ryu ga Gotoku: Of the End is confirmed to be delayed. Its release date is now listed as "To Be Announced".

Leading the gaming charge in Asia this week is THQ and Kaos Studio's shooter Homefront. The game puts players in the shoes of an American rebel fighting off the North Korean People's Army, which has already taken over the United States of America en masse. Complementing the mature and politically laced storyline is the game's multiplayer, which features Ground Control mode--a cross between Battlefield's Rush mode and Call of Duty's Domination mode.

Shogun 2: Total War will be out tomorrow for gamers keen on strategy and feudal Japan battles. In addition to multiplayer that features co-op mode, there will be a campaign mode featuring the many warring shogunate clans in Japan, like the Chosokabe clan. As stated before, the limited editions will be on sale in Asia.

While GameSpot Asia has yet to get confirmation on whether game shipments will still proceed as scheduled in Japan due to the recent Tohoku major disaster, Ryu Ga Gotoku: Of the End/Yakuza: Of the End is slated to come out this Thursday. Gamers will be controlling Kiryu Kazuma (and his other playable comrades) as they deal with the recent zombie outbreak while exploring postapocalyptic Kamurocho. As in past Yakuza games, gamers can play an assortment of minigames while also checking out host clubs in the city.

Finally, MotorStorm: Apocalypse drives down to stores this Wednesday. Players will get to race through shifting tracks and large destructible laneways while using monster trucks, ATVs, and muscle cars. The Asian version of the game comes with English and Chinese subtitles.
