CoD 4 im sure had alot to do with the raise. Guitar hero III is great but I think CoD 4 was a bigger hit. Everyone i know spends all there time online with CoD 4 then i even hear About Guitar hero III

I knew I should have bought some stock in Activision after GH2 was released on 360.

As long as they use this money as an incentive to keep making more kicka** games, and not cheap out on anything, then it's all good news for me.

I'm guessing NONE of you people on here know this but Activision didn't MAKE Call of Duty 4. Infinity Ward MADE the game. Activision just put it out is all. Not saying I dislike Activision or anything, I just kept seeing people say that Activision made the game...but they didn't.

Both franchises should carry on greatly for years to come.

Infinity Ward made CoD4 and Activision published it, there is a big difference for those who posted before me giving Activision credit for actually creating the game when they didin't.

CoD4's multiplayer has kept Crysis on the shelf, it is simply too much fun. And really, Activision has been one of my favorite publishers since the MechWarrior 2 era, and I'm glad to see them doing better after a rough patch.

Good for activison when they make quality game's like Call Of Duty 4, it's not hard to see why. Keep up the hard work guy's.

Good for them, COD 4 is truly a great (though way too too short) game, and someone should go over there and beat a couple of their execs senseless with a cooked cauliflower for foisting SOF:Payback in it's release state on all of us. Take that you souless profiteers! LOL!

I guess they should be able to afford a full recall for GH3 on the Wii due to the mono only sound issue, then. It would be pretty crappy to stick their customers with an inferior copy of the game while they're raking in the money.

I find this sucess slightly ironic as it seems Guitar Hero III and Halo 3 remind me of eachother. They were both great works of innovation at the beginning. If you had either a PS2 with guitar hero or an Xbox with Halo and extra controllers you were THE man! But today building off the sucess newer, more innovative and different games are made, like how COD 4 wiped 360s clean of Halo 3 discs (at least everyone on my friends lists) and how Rock Band has brought new light to the genre.
