I agree Wormkid_64 who really gives a crap which console is better, personally I like all of them, I own a Wii and a 360 now and plan on getting a PS3 next year.

@ shakenparco Lack of massive public ad blasting is semi-normal for Sony. I mean, yes they have campaigns, but nothing like Microsoft pushes. For the most part they're content to let their hardware sit around on shelves and gain steam over time as more and more people are able to justify a purchase. As (globally) they've nearly caught the 360 in total sales despite a year handicap, I figure they don't feel a need to push people. It's better to have X million happy players who bought something to enjoy at time-of with an open mind over the course of 5 years than to have the same X million grumpy they fell for an impulse buy and then mostly leave it on the shelf for the same 5 years. The Wii somehow magically found the gap in the middle of those, which is the cause of the endless mass appeal.

I feel like non gamers don't really know about the Move. It may just be me, but I've barely seen any ads for it.

Don't really know a whole lot about the Kinect because I'm a PS3 owner but is it just me or does it feel like both the Kinect and Move launched with a light line up. And yes I fully understand that it takes time but if you were in charge of Sony or Microsoft wouldn't you want to contact game devolpers well before release so that you had a strong launch line up? Well anyways lol, I definately look forward to seeing where the Move and Kinect go from here.

Well I guess when you are comparing sales when it comes to bundle packs, I can see why the xbox is out selling the ps3, and the wii. Not that one system is better than the other, but since everyone and their grandma has a motion control option to choose from, price-wise the Xbox 360 makes sense in terms of (4 player) pricing, bundle or peripheral alone. Let's do the math here. And yes I know that Microsoft is making money back, but in the long run it's well deserved after how much money they put into developing the technology, but I digress.......... @steelmouth Games also hardly break 1 million sales in Japan because it is a smaller country. Japan only has a third of the US's population. So sales numbers coming from Japan are very difficult to compare with US numbers.

When Microsoft releases the SDK for Kinect so independent developers can build titles I think we may see some creative things. Tracking a person's movement in 3d space opens up many possibilities. Right now games are mostly family fun type games but it's very impressive how Kinect can pick up velocity, angle and other movements regardless if it is your legs, arms, head, etc. I'm sure the fitness niche alone will be huge money. Great start Microsoft... now open up that SDK!!!!

I just did a lil math and the x360 is outselling the ps3 in the US by a bigger margin than the ps3 is outselling the x360 in japan, so the only way the ps3 could be clossing the gap let alone be outselling the x360 world wide is if the ps3 is kicking some major major arse in europe, so were are the european sales PS the US and Japan have long been won,the battle for this generation is to be won and lost in europe,so we need the EU sales

@helborhamy The article just mentions that yesterdays unrelated report was US numbers. I'm not saying this is the case for sure, but how do we know that this article isn't talking about worldwide numbers? This is just speculation, but it makes mention that the US numbers were yesterdays NPD report and says nothing about this report today being US or worldwide.

@TheTwilightGMR I am pretty sure if you look at the international numbers, you will find that the ps3 outsold xbox360; maybe also the move. This is only a speculation, if you know the real international numbers please tell me.

@GamerYnoX: I'd say beating a company 1.37 million units sold to 530,000 units sold would be considered fair domination by any standards. Plus, Kinect outselling Move 5 to 1 would probably be a pretty good indication. To put it in gaming terms that others can understand, that'd be like playing a game of slayer on Halo and one player beating another 25 to 5 as far as the motion accesories are concerned. Call me crazy, but Microsoft is looking good. Now...correct me if I'm wrong now...please, please do...

Sure some of them act like two year olds when they start bashing each other and cursing, However, some people make very good arguments that I actually enjoy reading, so please don't tell people to stop arguing; I want to hear what they think.

@frazzle00 Continued... I enjoyed Killzone 2 after I put the sensitivity at max and played the campaign. It was a good game yes, but not the game of the year people make it out to be. People called it a Halo killer, but I don't think it is. Halo is a much better game I feel with much more content, even though personally don't like Halo for how arcady it feels. That is my opinion on the game, but I'm not ignorant and just because I don't like it I am still able to acknowledge that it is a great game. Finally, once again you didn't answer my question as no one has. What are the great exclusive games coming to 360 to make me want to renew my Live? Since, if the only reason to play on 360 is Gears and multiplatform games, I will play them on PC for the superior experience. For the ones not on PC I will get for PS3 so I don't have to pay for Live. So far all I have head from people is Forza 4 and Gears 3, from you I heard nothing but insults and you didn't give me any games beyond those two to peak my interest. I'm not looking for reasons to play on my 360 over PS3. I'm looking for reasons to play on something that isn't my PC.

@frazzle00 Regardless of what you may say a PC gamer is what I am first and foremost and insults really just make you look like a child here. In Heavy Rain with the Move you make the same movements as the characters you control and I'm sure you wouldn't find anything in it because it would be supporting the PS3 and fanboys have mental blocks about seeing good in anything but their own stuff. Also, I'm not sure why you are bringing up 15 year old systems into this. The old systems had their problems as all do and they have learned from the mistakes to make things better. But the 360 has had the worst system reliability of any mainstream system and they only extended warranties and everything else after numerous lawsuits. I never bought a PSP because they are garbage to me, I didn't want to spend so much to play the three or four games that looked good. About giving Killzone a 10, when I rate games I don't give them what I feel they deserve because no one is really going to see it anyways. I exagerate my scoring to make it have just a little more effect on the average score that is displayed. So say a game gets an 8 and I feel it deserves a 9, I will rate 10 to compensate.

ps3 isnt a great console, but its far better than the xbox 360, thats for sure. i own a ps3, wii and pc and strangely the ps3 is my third most played gaming device. its still a decent console, but man this gen sony is taking a arse kicking. make you wonder how the psp2 and ps4 is going to do next gen. i dont expect too much from them.

@coaltango I agree....kinect has better marketing.....same story with Black Ops and Battlefield BC2, which is a way better but CoD had ton of marketing and maybe will be shooter of 2010....it's all about marketing.....shame :-[ ..................but KZ3 will rule!!!!

the kinect has a better marketing strategy than the MOVE. The move will really pick up sales once Killzone 3 hits shelves

@jenguando Actually, in order to actually play your games online, download some DLC and Demos you HAVE to pay. Along with paying a Netflix subscription and such just makes it seem not worth it to me anymore. Now PSN, you don't have to pay, but you can still play games for free, and you can just pay for downloading the DLC, instead of paying for Live to have access to pay for DLC.

Eh, not really surprising to me. Sony's Move isn't anything new, it just a more accurate Wii in HD. Sony pretty much looked at the Wii controller, made it ugly as s*** and called it a day. At least Microsoft took a chance with the Kinect and made something completely different than everyone else. Kinect is way more intuitive than any controller and literally anyone can play the games which is why it appeals to so many people. If you want to bowl, you pick up the ball and roll it. You want to play soccer, you kick in the direction you want the ball to go. No need to remember what button to press to change the angle of your shot or when to release the trigger to let go of the ball properly.

wow so many 360 babies on here trying to make 360 look good I guess they like a console that freezes when played for long time and last about a year before it ain't good no more and have to buy a new one

@ jenguando Not every multiplat runs better on 360. Soul Caliber ran even, Tekken 6 ran even, Assassins Creed 2 ran even, Call of Duty, 4, Modern Warfare, World at War, and Black Ops ran even, Prince of Persia, ran even, most games from the end of 08 to now have run evenly on both systems save for a few games, Games like Devil May Cry 4, Castlevania, Dynasty Warriors 6 empires, Bladestorm, Fatal Inertia, alone in the dark all ran better on PS3. Just because you have trouble with the system does not imply everyone else does. Nothing you have pointed out is a fact of truth.

@ jenguando What features other than cross game chat and the party system does live have? Once again, if your PS3 takes ages, its you, not the system. How come I can download a gig and half in 8 minutes? The slowness in download does not apply to everyone. @ supernaught360 MGS 4 is not even for download on the store how can you be certain it is 7 GB. Infamous trial version was 7GB, so how can the full game be just as big as a trial version? @ jenguando My complaints about live are the fact that I should not have to buy features I will not use If all I want to do is play the game and nothing else. Sometimes I like to play online, but I don't care about talking to others. Why should I shell out $60 for things I don't care about? If I will not use them, I shouldn't have to pay for it. What you are suggesting is that people who don't want to talk to others should not play online. That is shallow. You both see the system as it was in 2007.

@gamenerd15 Bluray doesn't do crap - if they hadn't used the completely horrible Bink compression in MGS 4 and Castlevania, those games EASILY fit on one DVD 9, do some research. Also: don't you even wonder why the DLC versions of iNfamous, MGS 4 are well under 9 gigs? Think, brother.

@jenguando MGS: 4 almost made me get rid of my PS3 it was so fugly, and Uncharted: 2 didn't impress me much either. Games like iNfamous, Killzone 2, and God Of War 3 have BARELY kept the PS3 in my household, and the bluray function means nil to me - I rent HD movies on XBL.

@jenguando Live is a joke in the fact that I have to pay to play online. What if I don't want to talk to people and just want to play games? Why should I have to pay for features I will not use. Why should I have to wait a week to play the newest demos just because I refuse to pay? Why should I be denied access to download network games because I will not pay for online? If your PS3 is taking 3 days to download an update, you have a problem. If the entire update takes more than 7 minutes, you have a problem. The 360 doesn't update in seconds. It downloads the thing and then initializes it. This whole process takes about 8 minutes. Since when does 360 come with a charger for the controller? I didn't get one with mine. You have to buy the charger separately. The PS3 might have to be on, but at least it can charge controllers out of the box. Each console has its pros and cons.

@frazzle00 Blu ray makes it possible for games to be put on one disc such as FF 13, Star Ocean 4, and Rage. Star Ocan on PS3 has a Japanese voice option. . Why play a game on multiple discs when you can play it on one. Why does Microsoft put a size cap on what can be put on live? Why is live structured so that MMO's are difficult to get on the system. Regardless of the fact that FF14 is crap, Square had trouble getting it on Live. I still haven't seen a game on 360 that looks as good as MGS 4 or Uncharted. There are some games that come close, but aren't quite up to the same level. To say blu ray has no uses for games is untrue. As far as hardware goes for PS1 and 2. I got a launch PS2 2 months after it came out and never had to buy a new one. I had a disc read error one time with FF7 and that was it. I also had a relatively early PS1 from 96 and it never crapped out. So speak for yourself. Just because you and 5 friends had issues doesn't mean everybody does.

Its an even bigger joke that PSN sucks blatantly.I mean you dont even get a flippin headset with ps3.Why the hell cant the controller even charge when the console is off?Why the hell do updates take 3 days to install intead of seconds with the 360. In Jan, Gamestop had signs on their doors stating they had lots of PS3 for sale, as they were overstocked. People aren't buying a new XBox 360 if it get RROD, as they can send it in for FREE repair. They have a 3 year warranty for it. I had mine repaired and it has worked great ever since. I also have a 360 Slim. The PS3 isn't perfect either. It has had DRE and HDD problems. Just Google search it and you'll see plenty of unhappy gamers with these problems. Back when the PS3 initially launched, it was the "Rich Kids System". $600 + for system and games was to much for any normal kid to afford.

@Toysoldier34 @fullmetalhollow by good/bad products am not refering to the quality am refering to how the products appeal to people, a good product ie (x360/wii/Justin Beiber) does exactly what its users want from it at an affortable price, a bad product (ps3) goes out of its way to do stuff no body cares about for an extra price kinda like the direction xbox live is taking lately PS am no fanboy i will admit it ON PAPER THE PS3 IS BETTER THAN THE X360 but it better in the wrong direction
