An epic game that hasnt gotten the praise it so truly deserves.
The story starts with a Mercenary named L'Arc, who is saved by a mysterious and extremely naive "Diva" (Young women who turn hymns into magic) named Ryfia. Now what starts as a little walk to the nearby village soon becomes a journey to save the world, when L'Arc finds out that he is what is called a "Child of Easa" a kind of Messiah if you will that must bring forth a law to the God Easa to help guide humanity to a destiny consisting of two possible options. Along the way, however L'Arc and his friends discover the truth behind the two options and tries there best to produce a third option in the hopes of saving the entire human race. (We knew this of course.) On this journey L'Arc gaines some unimaginable powers in what are called "Rogress" or summons if you will, that aid him significantly in battle, along with some unlikely allies: The "Diva" Ryfia, the mercenary Rastan, the Legendary Hero/Thief Serge, his childhood best friends Alf and Adele, the pint sized warrior Cecille, the curvatious gunner Leslie, and his goofy sidekick Niko.
The Good: Awesome battle system that requires strategizing and serious thinking, great & detailed characters with wonderful personalities. Decent Voice acting (please dont believe all the negativity) and a solid story that keeps you wanting more.
The Bad: The only thing I will note that may have been a bit of an annoyance was that black bar that shows up everytime there is a cinamatic scene, although its not bad enough to drop the score of this game.
