Somewhat childish, yet innovatively pleasing.

First off, Animal Crossing may, on the surface, seem like a kiddy game. Well...it actually is, but once you get past that, it really is quite innovative. What other games let you live your life out in a small town inhabited with animals and functioning in realtime? Not many, I'll have you know. Now, despite how innovative it is, and despite how much you can do all year, it really doesn't keep you going for very long, and after a while it just gets tedious. This is basically a game for people with a lot of time on their hands (aka: Kids and jobless people.) Graphics are pretty good, and there are no glitches that I found. They are somewhat cartoony, which is annoying unless you're into that sort of thing. Ditto with the soundtrack. The "voices" of the animals in town grate on your nerves unless you mute them with a simple option. Then, your mute friends become quite lovable. Now, what's really great about this whole game is that you have your own house, which you can fill with anything you can dream of. Want a full orchestra of musical instruments? Okay, go out there and collect them. How about a group of life-size dinosaur bones? Dig 'em up and they're yours. All in all, this one is good to buy, but only for about 25 bucks. If it's higher than that, you can wait.
