Interesting concept, great execution, even better content!

Animal Crossing, so much to say so little time. I could write a book about my experience in Animal Crossing. The game was so intuitive I was even able to hook my mom on it's originality. The game starts off with you moving to another town. The beginning of the game is key to develop your characters looks. You are asked a series of questions and depending on how you answer the questions your looks will be generated. Moving on from there you meet a raccoon named Tom Nook, a generous store owner who offers a loan on one of four houses in the neighborhood. Each house is equipped with a partner called a gyroid. These little indescribable beings whirl around and assist you with saving your game, selling items, and posting messages. After obtaining a house you are able to expand it by paying off you loan, Tom Nook will offer to build an addition for a small fee and if you pay that fee the process is repeated. If you completely pay off Tom Nook and achieve the full capacity of the house a statue will be erected in front of the train station in your town. Depending on who pays off the loan fastest in the town will determine what kind of statue you will receive. The funny thing is my mom was the first one to pay off her loan thus receiving a large golden statue, my brother followed then me, and finally my father who also had a slight interest in the game.
Aside from paying Tom Nook back there are no real objectives in the game. The game is real time, and depending when you decide to play that will be the time in the game unless you cheat and change your gamecubes internal clock's time. The game has a variety of holidays that are celebrated by the towns citizens, and you can participate if you choose to. On specific holidays you are able to obtain special items that you can only get on that particular day.
The games graphics where a bit low for the standards of the time, but after some time the graphics seemed to be an iconic part of the Animal Crossing world. Each character had individuality, and you where able to easily tell who was who in your world. The detail of the items was also great, each having it's own special thing that made it original. If you decided you didn't like the apparel offered by the game you where more than welcome to use your creative side and design your own, that you could show off and just may be you could get a friend to wear your design.
The game just has so much to offer, and I don't think I want to ruin your Animal Crossing experience. It would be best you started your own adventure! If you have any questions feel free to contact me, the best way is through Xbox Live, my tag is nemers.
