Animal Crossing: it can't be reviewed by screenshots. It is not a game to be played, it's a game to be lived.

Some games cannot be reviewed by screenshots or trailers, some games are more than that. Reviewing Animal Crossing is a hard task, because there is so much you can do in this game, I can't possibly put it all into a review. I've been playing this game since it came out, and I have played it every single day in a year, and I still couldn't get all the items you can get, all fish or insects you can catch (I still haven't). While this simulation-style game has been explored before in The Sims series, Animal Crossing is an extremely innovative videogame for all ages; even though is is a love-it-or-hate-it kind of game - I'd say most people love it and become Crossers. I often say this is The Sims minus the "boring" things like taking your character to the bathroom or taking care of him so he won't get depressed, plus the fun stuff like having nothing to do and just walk around, talk to the animals, listen to the game's relaxing soundtrack, take a look at the primitives yet nice graphics, visit a friend's town using his Memory Card... It's indeed a virtual life, extremely interactive and addictive. It's incredible how perfect this game really is (atleast for those gamers who play without violence; if you're one of those game blood-hounds, you won't find anything attractive about Animal Crossing). And just because it doesn't have violence, it doesn't mean it's kiddy - a lot of gamers don't buy AC because they think that way. Shame on them, does violence means fun? Animal Crossing is one of the GameCube best sellers and it will soon come out in an online version for the Nintendo DS - it is the system's most wanted game right now, worldwide. And who would have thought Nintendo was afraid to port this game to USA because they said americans probably wouldn't feel the great stuff about it. If you still haven't played it, you just might want to check out the best GameCube title, a game to live.
