If you like to collect things in games it is ok, but this is not the same as the sims series. It is more like for a kid than a grown up. I have had it a few months and have only had time recently to play it for its requirements. You have to give a lot of your time in order to play the game and certain times of day also. This game will have you going on Christmas looking for a reindeer Santa, on Halloween looking for a pumpkin spirit, or on Thanksgiving keeping a turkey alive by stealing forks and knives. This is how you get special furniture in the game, but you have to wait for the time of year like in real life. If it is Saturday the fifth of May then it is Saturday the fifth of May in the game. This game requires a lot of time and patience. It will take you years to play to get to all the events and find every single item in order to finish the game. It is neat to waste time on for a while, but it will get old having to upgrade your house, find every fish, bug, fossil, and furniture in your series. There is plenty of Universal codes to get the stuff you want right now, but it takes a long time and it gets old fast by having to give up to three codes and reset. I bought the game because it had nintendo games in it. They did not tell you it was some of the more boring ones that you find fifty copies of in the pawn shops. When you upgrade your house you go from paying 20,00 to paying around $800,000.00 for your last upgrade, not including the three in the middle that breaks your thumbs for trying to pay it off quick. I did like the fossils being 3D. You would go into the museum and look at the fossils you contributed like they were in a real museum. THis would have been better if they had included a few more camera angles in the game. You can only see from one direction and tilt a little to the right and left. I like the idea in Harvest moon where you can use the Z button to lsee your garden in first person view. Somehow this was left out of the game. I would say this game is good for a very cheap bargain, but do not buy it new.
