Animal Crossing is not for everyone, but those who love collecting will find many hours of fun

Let us get this out of the way. The game Animal Crossing was meant for release on the N64. So the graphics are horrid at best. Animal Crossing is the quintessential sandbox game, where you live the life of a human in a town filled with cartoon animals. While this may sound boring, it is, but those who like life simulators (a.k.a. the Sims) will find a lot to love. Basically the game pans out as a collectathon, where you scurry about town, doing mindless tasks to earn random things for you and your house. Again, only for people that like collecting, but there is a hell of a lot to collect. Collectables range from pointless wallpapers to Oldskool NES games that you can actually play with a friend (one of the only selling points). The sound sucks, where music is of the old sounding sort and no voice-overs are to be found. The coolest part of this life sim is that the time is constantly running, so much creativity is to be found. On Halloween, everybody asks you for candy, and if you don't give it to them, they take your hard earned stuff. If you reset the game, you get a visit from resetti the next time you play as he says that you cannot reset real life. The game is truly of Nintendo calibur, showcasing colorful characters and innovative material. Problem is, that isn't good enough anymore, although collecting junkies will love it.
