While Advance Wars2: Black Hole Rising might seem like more of the same, in this case that is a good thing. With so few turn-based tactics (TBT) games available on any platform, to find one as good the original Advance Wars was like finding a goldmine. The whole combination of graphics, gameplay, and game balance was just right. The programmers for AW2 must have realized this, and kept any tinkering to a minimum. While adding a new unit (the AT-AT like neo-tank), the majority of the game plays like the original AW. The overall game balance is maintained, making for a very enjoyable gaming experience for fans of TBT genre games. At least, until Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced comes out later this year.
